People in the chat are so annoying. I think it’s better when Saf and Tyler don’t read it at all and Carly (sp?) relays the messages that are actually worth reading

IKR! It changes the entire mood of Saf and Ty, it is so clearly visible... Chat, we don't own their live stream, we are guests. In the very end, they decide how to proceed.

That such a great way to explain it! This is something that should be a fun, "stream"-of-consciousness shared experience between incredible people. And I hate the idea of Saf and Tyler feeling anxious to be in this space that should be a chance for positive interaction...

Honestly I think the way to deal with annoying people in the chat is to not give them attention (which Saf and Tyler aren't too good at either). There's a pattern of people acting up in the chat and then people in the comment section getting mad at them (very fairly). But I feel like it just gives shitty people in the chat who probably make inflammatory or rude comments for attention exactly what they want - attention from Saf/Ty and then sustained attention from the comment section. Tbh eveb if its entirely reasonable that your mad about the comment (it was uncalled for) ranting about the rude comments in the chat doesn't actually stop them, if anything it only encourages them because people know they'll be talked about or gives them uneccesary attention. It's a public chat on the internet where everyone other than Saf and Ty are anonymous so it's just expected that people will be rude unless Saf and Ty more heavily moderate their streams like other streamers do. People have been complaining about how awful the chat is for 2 years and the chat hasn't really gotten any less annoying (the spam is gone though). And seeing a negative angry chat and then a negative angry comment section reacting to the chat gets kinda tiring. Maybe we can just acknowledge that these comments are intended to be inflammatory and dumb and not humour them by giving them even more attention? Or encourage Saf and Ty to get more mods and make rules so that the chat is a better environment? Something to fix the problem instead of perpetuating it. (Also within the context of the stream it's kinda established and understood by even the hosts that Tyler talks a lot or 'too much', there's even a genersl bit in this stream where Safiya doesn't listen to everything Tyler says because of how much he talks, and in this specific one almost cuts his hair _because_ he's talking a lot, so its entirely possible the comment wasn't even meant to be rude and was just acknowledging in a light hearted or teasing way that Tyler is very chatty today, even more so than usual, something they've all admitted is true lol.)

Agree 100%. I find the chat very immature - not talking about age, as have no idea how old a lot of the chat is, just about attitude. They don't acknowledge that Saf and Ty are fully grown adults in their 30s (or about to be in their 30s can't remember their exact ages), who are successful and have survived very well somehow (sarcasm) without the "advice" chat gives them. I would love to see Saf and Ty give themselves permission to set healthy boundaries with the chat. They seem like such kind souls who never want to upset anybody, but they also seem to get stressed and it's very sad to watch. You're not alone in feeling this way!

Like, they kind of laugh and roll their eyes and I’m like “YES TELL THEM, ANGELS. THEY ARE BEING RIDICULOUS!” It genuinely bothers me to my core to see how people react to them and I’m like “you do realize that they’re human and not robots? They aren’t doing anything wrong. It isn’t up to them to tell you how to wash your hands.” I understand that they have a huge audience and there’s plenty of impressionable youth looking up to them, but they’re NOT DOING ANYTHING WRONG. They’re just living their lives. People act like they need to have the answers for everything, do everything perfectly, and can’t be wrong about something even small like Saf incorrectly quoting a 190 b.c. crocheter or something stupid like that. It’s obvious how restricted they feel. I’m tired of these weirdos and their sense of entitlement towards the way that they do or say things at all times. I don’t want them to get so stressed out one day that they just… Stop. Because, honestly, I wouldn’t blame them. Either that or just completely cut off contact with fans and “friends.”

@@stephanieetm also! Saf is turning 30 in July and Tyler is 32 or about to be 32. I can’t remember his birthday, I just know he’s a few months older than my husband, lol. They’re fully grown adults who are educated, extremely successful, and just trying to vibe out in this world. Someone recently tried to imply that Saf is (getting) old because she’s about to be 30 and it bothered her for a split second because it clearly wasn’t an insecurity she had beforehand, but someone saying it made her have an existential crisis on camera. Once again, chat disappointing me. 🙃😂

Yes! You can't please every single person. They should really try and not read comments as much, you can tell it affects the both of them whenever something rude pops up (and that's probably why people do it too - to see their reactions). They should just focus on the streams and let Carly read the comments or something, until they're confident enough to not let it get to them. It sucks seeing this happening every stream.

Agreed. Feels trolly. You get them on twitch but as Saf and Tyler aren't streamers originally, they're pre made video creators who spend hours making it perfect to their comfort levels. I just want them to know trolls be trolling and even the non trolls are probably just well meaning kids to be honest.

That's the reason I don't go into live chat anymore. Too many rude people.

I agree, I feel like if viewers are going to be so rude and petty, why even bother watching at all? It kind of ruins it for the rest of us when trolls enter the chat just to say crappy stuff about Safiya and Tyler. It adds no value to the experience and just serves to (probably) increase Saf and Tyler's self consciousness in the future.

I can picture them being silent and pretending they are frozen for a couple of minutes as a gag and than they start the stream. But I am here for the fun and their conversations.

I would be perfectly fine if chat was off actually. I literally never look at it when I'm present for a live and when I have it's been mostly nonsense that moves too fast to be conversational. if that makes sense. plus it would take care of the rude people, and I see nothing wrong with that

I watch some of the jarvin johnson bingo lives (afterwards) and they are so rude to him for no reason. He fights with them every time and ruins the fun for everyone. I feel chats do more harm than good at this point. I mostly watch on KZfaq afterwards when I have time and don’t even see it anyways. So I agree, the chat is not necessary and is more peaceful without it.

i dont think that would be plausable, the marshmallow cools down too quickly when you take it off heat edit: also the caramel and chocolate getting mixed into the marshmallow changes the texture

If the chocolate and caramel were removed and they whipped it in the pot, could add a little air. It would never be a marshmallow in the same way, unless it was made from scratch.
