The move is called 17 dissection, it'd be stupid if it had any more or less hits. That'd be like if nejis 64 palm hit you 19 times.

@@VTGN-II actually, if shiki slashed arcueid 17 times then she would be in 18 pieces. since she's in 17 pieces, then 16 hits would've done the job because shiki slashed her limbs out of the body seperately

Seems pretty similar. It feels like Roa and Kohaku are the ones that got a major glow up.

This video was very entertaining to watch, however it would've been perfect if all of the Arc Drive/Last Arc shown are also the ones with similar voice lines from the previous game. But I suppose since the ones from Kouma, Miyako, Roa, and Kohaku had it already, I have no rights to complain :)

I’ll be honest, even though the remake looks a hundred times better… I miss the dark atmosphere the old game would give us when performing an arc drive. The rattling chains Arcueid would summon. The blood thirsty look in Red Arcueid’s eyes. Now she’s just Arcueid but with a tight sweater and sexy dress skirt with bedroom eyes. First a girl from a fashion magazine, then one of Nasu’s wet dreams (the character designs (NOT the art itself, though the fact that the faces all look the same does not help). Ciel’s old powered up look (her sick ass tattoos. Her remake designs are so fucking bland) Roa literally looks just like Fate/Zero’s Caster. I don’t see him as Roa at all. And apparently Kohaku has a new voice actress… why the hell couldn’t Chaos get a fucking new voice actor if you could easily replace Kohaku’s voice actress?

At least I have to give TypeMoon a credit for trying to bring back all their move to Lumina. Too bad that's the end of it. . Most of their move still be true to the original Melty. But pacing, dynamic, build-up, design are out of place alot. Like how Akiha's choking seems not that brutal due to audio. . While that hand-beam is good and all but the cutscene where opponent get annihilated is no impact the point it make ppl wonder why they add it in the first place. . The latter case happened alot in Lumina. Really...

i seriously do not understand the comments of some people. ive been introduced to aacc first but even i can acknowledge how well made the animation is... and basically almost everything. not necessarily better considering it went from pixel sprites to literally anime style. i will say, akiha's arc drive and last arc, notably, are lacking impact (the former lacking a violent shake in the screen, and the latter lacking sound effect)

Lumina's supers are kinda disappointing, not gonna lie. Also Under Night In Birth had cooler super animations than Lumina.

bruh, I get that some of these might look worse than the old ones but a lot are straight up upgrades, like shiki's last arc, akiha's arc drive, roa's last arc that is literally the same but better
