The Doppelganger Detection Department (D.D.D.) needs you!
There is a vacancy for the doorman position in your building and since you need the money and can't find a job you have no choice.
It's 1955 and for unknow reasons doppelganers are more common than normal, so the D.D.D. has taken action on the matter.
Your job will be to allow or deny the entry of the subjects who request entry to the building, it seems easy, but be careful, you can't overlook any detail because you could be food for doppelgangers.

dev u if ur unable to open any one of the floor files, just click the available open ones and 'X' close back few times. It should reset back to open back the files that needed to open. there is small bug/glitch that the developer needs to to fix.

It would be cool if there could be flaws, but it was possible to evaluate if it we're an honest mistake. If for example a character had an expired ID, and you questioned it, It's obviously a very doppel answer to go "oh i think it looks good." but if they instead responded with "Oh dear, i must have forgotten to renew it. I promise to get that sorted out as soon as i get home." It could also help with easily being able to punch the button when the player finds a small flaw.

@@cirno_touhou i thought it would work just as that instead of it being "see flaw -> push button", it would be "see flaw -> question -> evaluate response". A doppleganger would call it normal like current responses, but a human would tell u a realistic explanations. not really meant to be harder, but to make it impossible to call DDD with 100% certainty due to a visual flaw.

yeah, because that would trick you at first glance, but then you check the expiration date again and its 1842 or something, then renewing it is like "are you actually 100+ years old?? I don't think renewal is the problem here". that explanation might get you at first, but simple problem solving skills will help a player put their doubts to rest.

I believe that once the button is pressed for the alarm some of the doppelgängers will hit the shutter causing it to close slower and slower so you have to figure out if it’s a clone or not quickly or get got. Something of a response from them besides nothing back there would be cool

yeah, another person suggested that a dopple could be like "oh, you got me!" once the shutters begin to close and yell at the player for it. I think it would be pretty cool for normal humans to have a response to it, and for there to be a reaction if you press the emergency button making them think they're gonna die and then press it again, raising the shutters afterwards.

They should implement the checklist more by making it that you HAVE to fill it out before calling DDD, but you can hit the green button any time. More lore would be cool, too. Like if you allow a dopple in, the next day they're still in the building and slowly kill off the residents, but depending on who they're a dopple of determines who they kill since not every resident interacts with each other. This would allow more access for lore, i think.

it's part of the youtube creation thing. when he created the video, he puts the video under the gaming category, which then asks for a game. even if he tries to type in "that's not my neighbor" youtube doesn't recognize that as a game.. yet. despite the hundreds of people playing it. so he lists it as whatever else he can - in this case the game that inspired it, papers please. you'll occasionally see that with a lot of indie games when they first release

I dont need a request or ID to get into my apartment" Peachmans ID card basically said it expired in 1894, meaning its passed its due date. Its not their birthday. It works the same as a debit card itll tell you the month n year it expires I wonder if you keep selecting to question them about their appearance, if they would eventually get irritated and reveal themselves
