It is, isn't it? The first time I took it outside in the natural daylight it looked even better. It's really nice how the detail is in how the bag is embossed with the chocolate print because it keeps the bag toned down enough that you can wear it with so much stuff. Going forward I'm going to try to find more Lolita purses sort of in this 'vein' of "novel yet slightly understated" (for Lolita Fashion).

I'm currently waiting on an order for some new proper petticoats and once they arrive I think I'll be confident enough to make a wardrobe video. Though I think the poof of my current homemade petticoat isn't bad (I feel totally fine wearing it out to meets and public outings), I'm still worried that it's not impressive enough for youtube.

The day I walked into the SF store to pick up my stuff I saw they had re-stocked Cosmic and I was like; "Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!" because obviously I had already spent everything on Chocolate... (Although I reasoned out that if I skipped having a full lunch I could afford dat purple bow).

Well, the cool thing is that now a few years down the road; it looks like most of the set is fairly obtainable for less then the retail price. I've noticed only two parts of the set are uncommon secondhand now; the purse and the pink colorway in general. I've seen the bow, wrist cuffs and dresses come up now and again fairly regularly so with a bit of patience they shouldn't be too hard to run into somewhere on Lacemarket, Closet Child, Wunderwelt or one of the other secondhand shops.

I've googled both Mauve and Puce and strangely it matches both. I don't know why that is but either way it is an excellent chameleon with other shades of purple, grey and dusty pinks.

I'm happy to answer any questions. :) I use to think that avoiding brand items was a kind of badge of honor but overtime I've come to realize how the truth is that the fashion is kept alive and kicking by these companies. I can't afford brand items regularly, nor do I necessarily like 'burando' over homemade or indie items, but there's nothing wrong with setting a goal in regards to acquiring something expensive that really grabs your fancy and will make you very happy. When I first saw pics of the Melty Chocolate Ribbon series I knew I wanted something from it and I started planning out how I could afford it right away. I'm probably not going to be able to afford another burando binge for a long time but that's okay because I got what I wanted and now I have an entire matching set of chocolate-themed accessories to match back to different outfits. Lolita Fashion can really help teach you how to be patient with your money and save over long periods of time as well as to appreciate when you're able to acquire the thing you really wanted. Before I got into this I didn't really plan out money or save for things because I thought I didn't make enough (living below poverty line) but now I know that a lot more is possible in life; I just have to have time to plan and time to save (And lots of ramen bought on sale!)

Yak-curd sounds right. I was saying Jah-card mostly because of Star Trek... :) It's definitely either a Puce or Mauve. It's difficult sometimes because colors can sort of overlap with names (paint swatches are an excellent example of this). Either way it's a good color to kinda stuff into situations where all your purples, dusty pinks or greys may not match. It has a way of becoming what you want it to be depending on what it's next to.

Greens, I think, are the worst. they have got the most variety on the color spectrum (thats why they are used for night vision goggles). glad to know this bow helps cover purples though. :D

Well, it really depends on your personal situation; where you live in relation to Japan, what tax laws regarding shipping exist between the countries at the moment, so on. Overall ordering from Japan, as an American, always costs me a minimum of $20 USD. As I mentioned in my Innocent World haul; that minimum is based on a package weight table (not the value of the items) so in theory you might get a lot for that $20 shipping fee. When you use a forwarding service (like Tenso) or a Shopping Service (A person in the local area of the store who picks up things for you in the store and sends them onto your home address) there will always be extra fees beyond the shipping costs; so it's important to shop around. On Tenso's website there is a page, I think, where you can see what average rates will be for your country. You can also sign up for free and as a member might be able to access more information about fees. Whichever method you choose (Tenso or Shopping Service) it's important that you understand and accept the positives and negatives of each service. As far as I know, some stores in Japan are against shopping services because it's almost impossible to tell the difference between a shopping service and a scalper who plans to re-sell items for more then their retail price on the internet. This attitude mostly comes from stores (like Angelic Pretty) wanting to make sure their products go directly to their actual customers; which is what the shopping service is doing, but again there's no official way to prove you are a SS or a scalper. In contrast companies like Tenso have working agreements with businesses, so there's less confusion; but that does not necessarily mean a Forwarding Service is best for you either. It's really a personal decision to make based on your own needs and wants out of a service. Personally I'm always willing to pay more for no-drama service; I choose EMS over Air mail whenever I hear that a store has issues with getting their slow mail out regularly and in the case of buying from companies that don't ship out of Japan I would, personally, choose whichever service is most likely to a) not scam me and b) not get me accidentally banned from that store in the future.

I totally understand and I really am grateful for the up-front honest feed back (People can be too sensitive about that sometimes). Right now I'm working on the coord for Halloween that will go with the accessories (Chocolate Witch!) but I can shoot a new, much shorter, video sometime soon; I'm just not certain if it will be done before the Holiday.

I'm glad that you don't feel offended. I really enjoy your videos, you are super funny, but between university, ballet class and work I just don't have 25 minutes for one video (I'm behind on all my favourite shows, the struggle is real XD). You don't have to shoot a new video, you can edit it and cut parts off.
