Naah. King Buzzo, as a vocalist, just ain't Mark Arm. Nothin against Buzz, but his voice was never the Melvins' main selling point.

I love it...all Seattle 90's bands covering each other. Melvins doing a Mudhoney cover. Nirvana doing a Mudhoney cover also (technically by the band "Fang").

Dustin Dunbar You're wrong, Alcohol was a mislabel title, the song is called "high on the dog" with TAD not Mudhoney. and Money will roll right in is a Fang song.

Huge Mudhoney fan but love this cover. Honestly, it's not so different from the original. Mark Arm's voice was created to sing this song.

Tbh both mudhoneys and this version are great , i really like this one with its doom-metal vibe . Strange hearing it so slow after mudhoneys version but it makes it heavier i think . Awesome

thanks for posting this. used to have the 7". one of my all-time favorite melvins songs, although a cover. melvins put mudhoney to shame with this one, intentionally from what i understand.

Andrew Meneilly - Well, by the time of this song, their bassist had defected and joined the more commercially viable Mudhoney. Maybe Buzzo was singing this w/ Lukin in mind as the sweet young thing who was no longer sweet.

@@ibelieveicansoarbut keep in mind that the Melvins kicked Matt Lukin out of the band. well, more or less. they've told him that the Melvins are no longer a band, moved to San Francisco and continued the band wie Lorex on bass😅

I have this on a bootleg CD from the 1990s and it is also at the wrong speed, played faster. Makes me wonder there was a version on vinyl that is screwed up. I also love that the Melvins do covers so soon after songs are released. Someday was done a couple years after the single, and before it appears on a Flipper album.
