HONOLULU (KHON2) -- Around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, Maui Police Department and Haleakala National Park Rangers were called to a brush fire off Crater Road. Just after 3:00 am Thursday the Maui Fire Department warned residents in Upper Kula to prepare for a potential evacuation in homes above Kekaulike and Haleakala Highways between Upper Kimo and Waipoli Roads.
