This was bad reporting. The woman wasn’t just standing there ‘silently praying’. She was loitering outside the abortion clinic, and private houses surrounding it, pacing back and forth for hours and so the abortion clinic and neighbours called the police to check if she was ok and to ask her to be removed. The police arrived and her answers to them were vague and strange so they removed her. So it wasn’t accurate reporting. Any business, and neighbours of the business have the right to be worried if someone is outside loitering and doing strange things.

It IS appalling that young woman was arrested …but apparently she knew she and anyone else was prohibited from being near the abortion clinic across the road, within so many feet. I’ve just viewed it, and do find it rather strange that a camera crew was right there on the spot while she was asked why she was there and doing what. Who called the camera crew? Anti abortionists? There is more to this, than just an innocent young women being stupidly arrested.

Not as clear-cut as you suggest. The woman, Isabel Vaughan-Spruce, was already under an exclusion order preventing her from being near the clinic after being involved in protests that had led to disorder and intimidation of women.

No, we are not going to the dogs. The lady was arrested because there is a Buffer Zone around an abortion clinic to protect the women inside. This was the fifth day of her standing outside the clinic, on the opposite side of the road. A policeman gently questioned her and asked, nicely, to move on. She said she wouldn't move on and she wouldn't speak to them (quite pleasantly). They said if she didn't move they would be forced to arrest her. She refused to move so they arrested her. She is a Director of the anti-abortion organisation 'march for life'. Similar cases have come up and the American ADF anti abortionists have paid for their legal fees. It's a set up by them. The are already raising money for her legal fees. So not 'thought' police - just protection for women in the clinic at one of the most vulnerable times in the lives.
