I love brown rice, aka stick of butter rice, too! One variation I do is to add one can of Campbell’s French onion soup with the beef consommé. I believe another poster commented on that as well. Also, I put just a little dash of Worcestershire sauce in it-adds a yummy kick. Thank you ma’am, for your wonderful recipes, enthusiasm, and love! (And those viburnums are gorgeous!)

I made deviled eggs yesterday. I usually put Miracle Whip, yellow mustard, sweet pickle relish, a pinch of black pepper., and a sprinkle of paprika. We ate them for breakfast. Love them! So does my husband.

I love the lettuce as grass. That is so cute!

I have a recipe that’s close to that brown rice, but one can is French onion soup, and one can is cream of mushroom, and I’ll fold in 2 lbs of browned hamburger meat, cook it the same way….. and with a vegetable, it’s a meal❤️

You’re right the snowball trees are beautiful. I bought a house years ago and the previous owners had planted one. The woman told me how beautiful the tree was and she was so right. I’m always looking for an easier way to peel boiled eggs. All the men in my family request deviled eggs and so I always cook them. I use sweet pickles and paprika. Love the presentation.

Made the brown rice for husband 45 years ago. He said "How did you burn the rice" and I said "Try it. If you don't like it, I won't make it again." I made it 2 or 3 times a week!

This an excellent recipe. I've made it numerous times. I always add mushrooms in mine.

You're snowballs look absolutely stunning 💜 did you know that you can cut them off of your bush and hang them upside down to dry and then add them to your Christmas tree as filler into your Christmas tree ! They would be so beautiful in a Christmas tree. Thats what we use to do in my Mom's tree. That brown rice looks so good and especially with the deviled eggs also. God bless you.

I don't know if it's where I live at maybe the reason but I'm in the south, but I've have never seen beef consomme made by Campbell's before ,and their beef broth is hard to find also

💁🏻‍♀️God love you...brown rice is nice and nutty not many people consider in their everyday diet but don't be afraid especially when you have an Instant Pot😉👍🏻 1:1 (rice:liquid) Rice/Grain Brown Rice (it will automatically time the cooking...16-20 mins on high depending on how you like your rice...when I make dog food, I go the full 20 mins on high pressure but when it's for us we do 20 mins on low pressure) Start Quick Release Keep Warm

I found your recently and have been following you since. I am going to make this brown rice, it looks like the rice that someone gave my inlaws when they were sick. Tasted to good but we don't have the recipe. I bet this is the rice that kind lady made. So thank you for sharing. Just 1 question: do you have any suggestion what to use to make it vegetarian friendly (for those who can't eat beef or vegetarian)?

Wash the rice until the water runs clear! Rice has arsenic in it washing gets rid of most of it!

you don t wash the rice

We call it beef rice in my family. I don't put as much liquid in my rice I put 1 1/2 cut of liquid for 2 cups of rice. I put onions dry soup sachet plus some dehydrated vegetables and beef bouillon cubes and the liquid is water with a chunk of butter of course!!!! I do something before mixing all. I fry the rice in a pan with a little oil 2-3 minutes before mixing all the liquid and other ingredients and pop up in the oven....

You don't rinse your rice? Because it take away all starch so the rice is NOT STICKY, it's nice and fluffy .....all rice is sticky if not rinse oh perhaps you say ....oh no my rice is perfectly fluffy but I tell you , your rice seems OK for you because you know only that but when you rinse your rice 3-4 times or rinse till the water is clear( that's what I do) you gona say ; wow the rice is so fluffy !!!!! Believe me.
