This was in Sweden in the 80's, but a bearded, very drunk Hell's Angel dude was offered a bed for the night by my parents at their place. Next morning, after a decent breakfast, he swore solemnly to keep them safe for as long they were around, and if they ever in trouble, or the car broke down, to just say the word.

As a Canadian I kind of just forget that people don't know who Terry Fox is. Like, we have a whole day dedicated to him where we'd go for a walk at school to "continue the marathon" and everyone donated to the Terry Fox Foundation.

How to be a Chad Step 1. Respect people Step 2. Bring up those who are looked down upon Step 3. Bring up those who look up Step 4. Be as peaceful as possible with people, including enemies Step 5. Make jokes that are actually funny Step 6. Seek help rather than bottle up your emotions or complain in public Step 7. Follow the rules that make sense Step 8. Break the rules that are stupid Bonus: how to be a gigachad(all steps are optional) Step 9. Work yourself into a buff man Step 10. Grow a Chad beard Step 11. Give yourself dreadlocks(as shown in the video, these can actually protect your head)&/or man bun

8:14 His name is Zack MacLeod Pinsent, and not only does he dress beautifully, but _he makes his own clothes._ He's a tailor professionally, and he specializes in bespoke historical clothing. In a way, doing this allows him to both dress the way he's always wanted to _and_ promote his business. I love people like this, and I wish I could dress like him every day (bad climate in my area for that kind of clothing unfortunately)...

0:20 not sure how true this is, but my grandma told me her second husband (she’s been married 3 times, this was the only husband she liked and he unfortunately died of bone cancer) grew up with Bob Marley. Grandma said she didn’t believe any of his stories. Until at his funeral, she was talking to her mother-in-law and mentioned how “George said he grew up with Bob Marley.” Before she could ask if it was true, the little, old Jamaican lady in a wheelchair starts laughing and says in heavy (natural) Jamaican accent “do you know how often I had to chase those boys through the streets of Kingston with a broom when they were teenagers?” I wish I had known Grandpa Georgie before he died (my mom kept me away from my grandma for some reason that she (my mom) refuses to explain beyond “she’s mean” and mean to my mom can mean anything from an actually toxic person to a person who just has firm boundaries). He sounds like he would have been fun. But like I said, idk how true this story was.

16:56 I lived near indianapolis for 3 years, we had 4 mechanics across the street from us. Firestone was one of them, Firestone was the most expensive of them. DO NOT GO TO FIRESTONE FOR ANYTHING EXCEPT TIRES, THEY CHARGE A PREMIUM BECAUSE "Well we are tire people not mechanics" $600 for them to stick a $20 electrical tester into a couple different wires for half an hour only to come back and tell you "yeah we didnt find the problem so we are only going to charge you $450"

10:25 He got to that condition, because he refused to take his meds, which led to his condition to get worse FAST. His grandpa at the time was struggling with health issues too, so grandpa made a deal with him that they both will take their meds. His grandpa passed away and he decided to get fit. There is a video on youtube about his fitness journey.

The guy who dresses only in Regency-Era clothing has a KZfaq channel. He's a bespoke tailor by trade, mainly (exclusively?) making historically-accurate clothing for historical re-enactors. I used to make medieval clothes for my husband and myself and his skills are so phenomenal, he's like the Coco Chanel of the re-enactor world. Oh, to be able to afford something he made! There are times when I, too, would like to throw away my modern clothing and only wear 18th century clothes. Although, from having stopped in at gas stations, Dollar Generals, and Wal-Marts fully decked out in 14th century clothing, I can tell you, you get some strange looks and stranger questions. I'm not sure if I can do it all the time (and without the excuse that I'm on my way to an event). LOL.
