I once removed the batteries from six clocks in our house because the ticking was driving me insane. It wasn't enough. I then unplugged the two digital clocks, the oven, the microwave, and the heat before finally falling asleep. I was pregnant and sound sensitive, turns out that's a thing. The digital stuff was in my head, of course, but I feel your pain.

I seem to be a light sleeper when it's most inconvenient to be a light sleeper (like when it comes to *falling* asleep), and a heavy sleeper when it's most inconvenient (like when my alarm goes off or someone is trying to wake me).

I'm such a light sleeper that even if a tv is on Mute, I can hear and feel the low frequency of it being on and it just kills me!

Yes !! I took batteries out of a clock in my room that made that noise. That clock was actually a re-gifted item from an old-friend who couldn't stand the noise, so she gave it to me. Much appreciated !! No, she is not an old friend because she gave me that clock... it came pretty close, but no. :P (J/K)

My family and I had my 4 year old niece staying with us for a while and one night, our security alarm randomly went off. It woke up myself, my sister, and both my parents. After turning the alarm off, I went to check on my niece to see if it woke her up. She was sound asleep, showing as much response as a rock.

I can't sleep, so I decided to watch some Ellen's videos... 4 hours later... prying my eyes out to watch my "last" video. Keep telling myself 'just one more video, just one more video'

I USED to be a deep sleeper but lately i do not know what it is but anything wakes me up! Last night for instance, My sister came in my room super quietly shockingly that did not wake me up, She comes in to my side of my room and that does! When people go near me in my sleep is mainly when i wake up but yeah noises are deffinitly one of them haha

I'll sleep through pretty much anything, storms, alarms (it's right beside my head and it can be heard in the basement from the second floor), construction, etc. I slept through someone trying to break into the house, two big dogs going insane and everyone else freaking out. My hearing is fine, there's nothing wrong with me. It's not easy for me to fall asleep, but once I'm out, I'm dead to the world.

If you are a light sleeper try turning on a fan at night, at first it is annoying but after a few days it’s white noise and you can’t hear anything out

I'm a horribly light sleeper too and it's worse now that i am 4 months pregnant with my first. Now every time I get woken up I feel like I haven't peed all day and need to rush to the bathroom! My husband goes to sleep later than me, so that awakens me. I swear I get woken up and rush to the bathroom at least 4 times every night now. And if you have to get up after getting woken up it makes it that much harder to fallback to sleep.

One of my friend slept through a very violent earthquake! I think that pretty much sums up how much of a deep sleeper she is!

The weird thing is I'm a "light sleeper" I guess when it comes to falling asleep, like if I feel myself dozing off and I hear the slightest noise I'm right back awake and my thoughts are racing at night But once I'm asleep, I'm actually pretty grateful for this, I'm knocked out.
