I went to the Miami Air Show in...mid 80s. The Marine harrier...just slowly panning the audience at full hover was spooky as hell.

Throw in Labor Day. I went out once on Memorial Day, only cause the boat was already in the water at my friends dock. The nut jobs were everywhere and I got pulled over 5 times by 4 different agencies in a 8 mile trip. Hell no

I spoke to a Coast Guard officer a while back (he was based in Miami). He said "Imagine if you were a regular police officer out on the street and 90% of the people on the road had been drinking." That's the Miami boat scene on any given weekend.

My thoughts exactly. The fuel used is also staggering........looks like a lot of people are sure living the good life and yet there are millions of homeless living on the streets. The USA sure is a strange place.

It seems judging by the video that the more outboards and higher horsepower they are... the LESS friends you have!! So many huge and faster boats skippered by 1, That Cigarette, Too Sexy though was super nice!!.... but a hell of a lot of polishing to be done on that baby...

I noticed the one boat with quint motors, whhn it slowed down it appeared that the 2 outside motors lifted up. Do they do that or was it my imagination? To reduce drag when the boat slows?

I can't even watch the idiot in the 13-ft whaler with four people in there maybe more I didn't count! This is why I don't go out on holiday weekends and I don't even live in Florida. He's playing games in that little boat meant to be not for an inlet. And haul over is no joke been there done that it definitely commands respect.

Think about this for a minute. The average high performance motor uses about 1/2 pound of fuel per horsepower per hour, a gallon of fuel is almost 8 pounds.
