What lovely memories 😊

I recall passing by the flats late 50s early 60s being taken by our parents to visit our grandparents. Thanks for taking the time to tell this history.

Happiest days of my youth! Football every day with like-minded lads and a real sense of it being crime free and secure! No dogs but cats were tolerated. People had pride in their own homes and always looking out for each other. It ,for reasons that elude me, had a bad reputation as a place where people were 'dumped' in QH whereas I took the opposite view!!! It was a pleasure to live there!!! Great friends I remember but all went different ways when the Flats were demolished!!! Like I stated at the off- happiest days!!! My wife lived in monuan house When she was a teenager, her maiden name was susan Holmes,and lived there with Mary and Denise Holmes.1967 to 1975. Great times ,fondly remember Diana Dors from Queenies castle. Pulling up in her Rolls royce.
