The life and music of Waylon Jennings-whose distinctive creative vision and artistic integrity made him a leader in country's Outlaw movement-are explored in this encore compilation from the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, part of the ongoing performance and interview series “Live at the Hall.”
In footage captured live at the Museum, Jennings’s wife and fellow singer-songwriter Jessi Colter, his bandleader Richie Albright, songwriters Billy Joe Shaver and Sharon Vaughn, producer Kyle Lehning, and others share stories and performances centering around Jennings and his career.
The digital program is presented in support of the Museum's major exhibition "Outlaws & Armadillos: Country’s Roaring ’70s."
Watch “Memories of Waylon Jennings: Live at the Hall” here. For more live music and storytelling, explore more “Live at the Hall” episodes on the Museum's Watch & Listen page: watch.countrymusichalloffame....

I'm shocked to discover so few comments here for a " Man who changed the Music Industry , not just in Nashville, but the entire Landscape of Music . If not for him & fellow " Music Legend " Willie , there would not be this Great Brand of Music Entertainment , which " Opened the door for so many Outstanding Singers , Song Writers , & so many more " Artists & Musicians ! Shame on People that don't give him his " Earned Respect " !

Waylon's talent just amazes me still. I've been a fan since i was a little kid and I'm in my 50's now. He doesn't get near enough recognition or credit for his huge contributions to not just country music, but music in general. Just imagine having that gift of such natural ability and talent. Talk about greatness! His music is timeless and through it he lives on. ❤=w=❤

Waylon was not into social Nashville, he was about the music and this is why Nashville tried to keep him away from the industry because he wouldn't compromise..Waylon liked helping musicians and being behind the scenes without making noise about it to others..There wouldn't be a Willie Nelson singer if not for Waylon and he gave a lot of credits to his own music to help them get established without making a big deal of it..Waylon is the only one in history that Nashville went to ,to ask about a recording contract...Waylon didn't need Nashville they needed him..

I encourage all of you to read his autobiography. I'm an avid reader and I can say this is one of the best books I have ever read. You will be amazed at the depths and intelligence of this man and you will be in awe when you read his life story, as amazing as his music.

A GREAT video in which there are many who contributed to the success of Waylon. 9 of the 10 songs on the album Honkey Tonk Heroes were written by Billy Joe Shaver. RIP Waylon, Billy Joe and others who have passed. You'll never be forgotten!

The Gospel of salvation of our souls: 💜💕💜💖💕❤💕❤💞💜💕For what I received I passed on to you as of [first importance]: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to more than five hundred of the brothers and sisters at the same time,

Dear God🙏💕❤ in heaven, I come to you in the name of Jesus. I acknowledge to You that I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins and the life that I have lived; I need your forgiveness. I believe that your only begotten Son Jesus Christ shed His precious blood on the cross at Calvary and died for my sins, and I am now willing to turn from my sin. You said in the bible that if we confess the Lord our God and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from the dead, we shall be saved. Right now I confess Jesus as my Lord. With my heart, I believe that God raised Jesus from the dead. This very moment I accept Jesus Christ as my own personal Savior and according to His Word, right now I am saved. Amen.

I will say this, Billy Joe was a great songwriter no doubt. Did have a part in th movement with the songs he had written. There definitely was a reason he hounded the heck out of Waylon to record his music .He knew Waylon could make his songs come to life,to tell great stories( you just witnessed how easily it was for him to screw up HonkyTonkHero's).I do think he got a little cocky with his story telling myself... He was very, very fortunate Waylon choose to do his songs. Waylon was th" main man behind the movement in my opinion...Waylon,your th greatest of altime without any question.Miss ya my friend.Thank you for you music sir.
