Memphis Tennessee is known for some of the best bbq you will have in all America. Today we visit 3 of the Best Bbq spots in town Centrals BBQ, Charles Vergos Rendezvous, & Marlowes Rib & Restaurant. Each establishment shows us their special and unique way of preparing their dishes, join us on this mouthwatering adventure

I've had BBQ from all of the hot spots around the country. Memphis BBQ is by far superior!

Marlowe's seems like it would be good. I was just in Memphis for the first time about a week ago. I wasn't a fan of Rendezvous due to the overwhelming vinegar taste to the meat. It just wasn't for me but I love that your video shows why I was tasting that much vinegar. Also the mustard and horseradish slaw wasn't really a thing I enjoyed. Central was good. It was a nice BBQ lunch, but the best ribs I had in Memphis was Cozy Corner Restaurant. First time we went they had run out. We went back early the 2nd day and there was a line for the ribs and they didn't disappoint. The restaurant doesn't look like much but the food was amazing. Excellent flavor on the ribs, the sauce was great (the ribs didn't even need sauce, which is new to me since I'm from Colorado), and the potatoes salad was the best I've had from any restaurant. It's a must try while in Memphis. Thanks for the video

Great video Rick and I’ve gotta second bbqman. Loin Back Ribs and Baby Back Ribs are the same😂 but she’s just probably going off of what she was told, so nothing against her. By the way, I’m from Arkansas, and the best barbecue I’ve had was here in my backyard! 👍🏾😉😋

Odd you show Central Barbecue on Central Ave. Only a couple of blocks from my home. It has been closed for several years while being rebuilt. This video was posted 6 months ago. I do agree Central Barbecue is the best in Memphis. The location on Summer Avenue was always better for some reason than the one on Central Avenue.

lol being from north Mississippi and working in Memphis everyday you didn’t go to the best bbq places you just went to the most popular tourist restaurants. The best bbq places in Memphis is K.C’s off 3rd and Tom’s off Getwell.

So which ribs were your favorite? I've lived within 20-25 miles of Marlowe's for 45 years and for some reason have never eaten there, I need to try it soon.

@@chrisa1125 Truly! My favorite location from this episode was no doubt Marlowes I think of their food OFTEN. A must try in my books and sounds like your well overdue for a visit haha! Thier ribs are top notch, sides are great, but what lingers on my mind is their house brisket👏🏽

Its amazing how people dont seem to mind the filthy back wall of that 1st restaurant. Noce lady and creator Food prolly excellent. But looks like back wall never cleaned or maintained.

You done yourself injustice by not visiting Blk own BarbecueJoints , I’ve eaten at all 3 and like Marlowe the best , the next time you in town visit Interstate and other Blk own Barbecue places

Hey Rick sorry to inform you but you didn't even come close to the Best BBQ in Memphis. You need to dig deeper for true legends like Cozy Corner, A&R and Payne's just to name a few. Your spots aren't bad but the first 2 are tourist traps

⁠⁠@@algernon5776absolutely would love any recommendations you have to offer👏🏽! & I visited the Loraine motel it truly was one of the most impactful moments I’ve experienced in my life you really feel the historical significance and emotional connection that location holds. It definitely has a certain energy to it that can’t be explained but only felt when your there. Thanks for tuning in👊🏾

@@ricksroute some of the best barbecue cooks in the country live here in the mid south and they know people here don’t want to pay the cost that it takes to produce good barbecue so there is no quality barbecue here

I totally agree! no other place in America does barbecue like the south👊🏾 I personally enjoyed these locations but if you know of any places that are producing great barbecue or food in general, I’m always looking for new fantastic places!
