Really. I would've laughed my ass off if I got to see it live back then. But I was only four back then and wasn't into wrestling. And my family and I were still living in Central Florida at the time and didn't get CWA Wrestling down there. We got NWA and CWF (Championship Wrestling of Florida).

This is why you must have story lines, just doing a bunch of flips in the ring don't make you a Professional Wrestler, you must be able to tell a story. Please guy's watch angles like this and just copy it with your own angle.

That's why wrestling is crappy now cuz they have story lines back then they made it up as they went along it was way much better and they knew how to make it look real this stuff today looks fake.

That is what this era the Golden Age of Wrestling. Mostly, wrestlers wrestled. And the storylines were more believable and reality based instead of the soap opera storylines you get nowadays. This was when wrestling was truly king.

I think very highly of Mr. Gordon Solie. However there are times that Lance Russell was better. He was more suited for the Memphis lunacy for certain. Total topnotch Southern Gentleman yet believably capable of threatening Tojo Yamamoto with a hammer as well. His Face Commentator had a hard edge at times that Mr. Solie couldn't sell credibly.B.W.

Jimmy and Bobby "The Brain" Heenan were the best managers and talkers in the business back then, hands down. And they knew how to get under everybody's skin so bad, that the fans loved it when they got their comeuppance. I couldn't stand them, but I was thinking how great they were on the mic and how great they were at their jobs. They both knew the psychology of wrestling real well and used it to their advantage. R.I.P. Bobby "The Brain" Heenan.
@douglaswilson95
@douglaswilson95 Жыл бұрын
@@trevorbarnhill3399 I agree 100 percent my friend. I was 9 when I first saw Heenan in awa. It's all we had here on TV. I wanted to see him get his ass kicked so bad. The wrestling psychology as they call it today was second to none. My first match was Hulk Hogan vs Nick Bockwincle and Bobby Heenan in a handicapped match. It was an expiriance I will treasure till the day I die. I would do anything to bring those days back. That was true pro wrestling...
@trevorbarnhill3399

@@douglaswilson95 I wish I could have caught the AWA. It was on ESPN during the early to late eighties and my family didn't have cable at the time. My older brother and I watched and loved the WWF. And living in Middle Tennessee, we would watch CWA Wrestling out of Memphis. I was a huge fan of Ricky Steamboat, Jerry Lawler, and Hulk Hogan back in those days. And I remember when my Dad would take me, my older brother, and his buddy to the WWF house shows in Nashville. Good times.

I would believe Jimmy Hart was a badass compared to Dundee. Prolly the most ridiculous "over guy" ever .Maybe Buddy Rose in Portland was worse.
