Gary Smalley, who identified these 5 love languages and wrote a book about it, said that we each receive love better when that love is shown to us in our own love languages. This is why it is very important that we know our own primary and secondary love languages as well as those of our partner. For example, if my 2 primary love languages are words of affirmation and gift giving, then I would gravitate towards showing love to my partner using those languages. However, it is vitally important to know my partners' love languages so that I could show my love for them in their primary and secondary love languages. The author also wrote a book about the 5 love languages of children. This book was incredibly helpful as I was able to identify the primary and secondary love languages of both of my children, My daughter's primary love language is words of affirmation, and the secondary language is gift giving. My son's primary love language is quality time and the secondary is acts of service. It was awesome to communicate with them in their languages. My son feels great when I spend quality time with him, or have long and meaningful conversations. My daughter feels especially loved when I affirm her with my words or give her a surprise gift. Taekook absolutely knows how to communicate their love in each others love languages. It is watching two bodies sharing one soul. Their love for one another and the ability to know each other's love languages is why so many of us are drawn to their love It gives me hope that I may have a partner one day who loves me and will understand how I may best receive that love. Every one of us deserves that. Until that happens, I will believe in Taekook's beautiful love. I continue to wish them all the happiness in the world.
