Jonathan goes for perfection on questions you may or may not know the answer to and discusses how shallow male friendships can be.

I would love to point out that not all women are big on friends or sharing with friends either, especially introverted women. We may not feel safe to share and so many of us end up just as alone as some men are in dealing with issues 🤷🏾‍♀️.....just sharing another perspective

This scripture is very applicable to this episode, Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. James 5:16 We were created to be interdependent of one another. Have a sister or brotherhood. Also it doesn't necessarily have to be a sin, but advice on how to become better in all areas of our life.

This was good! I think the thing missing from men vs. women is literally men don't talk! PERIOD! Women release every single thought and emotion to their friends, family or whoever they trust. Men keep it all in their heads and hearts. We may be worsome, but we not suffering in silence most times!

Wow, I am genuinely amazed by the rarity of hearing men, especially our black men, who are willing to open up and share their true feelings about navigating manhood and expressing emotions. It's incredible that you guys are bravely sharing your own experiences and perspectives on real-life situations, and I'm genuinely grateful for your willingness to be vulnerable and shed light on these important issues. 👏🏾 Much appreciated ✨

I felt that, we deal with most of life internally and alone but all it takes is that moment that you are reassured you are never alone. Personally for me that moment was in the back of a police car lol but it will always linger in my mind and will forever be my reminder. I don't know his name but thank you for that kind reassurance.

The last statement near the end of the episode is very true. You can't do everything alone in this world but you must use your judgment because some individuals are plotting and don't care about your best interest. There is nothing wrong with letting down your guard because some men are prideful which can make some situations worst when all you have to do is ask the questions. #justmyopinion

This episode made me a little emotional 😩 I love you guys (men) and I want y’all to have more safe spaces, even in each other. Accountability only works when the person feels safe enough to be vulnerable with their shortcomings or gray areas, I’m glad you guys addressed this here. I have 4 brothers and a dad…so the wellbeing, safety and success of men has a really special place in my heart. I’ve always tried to be that for my brothers and friends. Thank you for this podcast, I think it’s a great start to the conversation for your community and I’m hoping the fellas take heed. 🩷🎉🔥 The Book of Jon: funny, relatable, impactful…✅✅✅✅

I like the concept of looking at each other as resources.....instead of competition.....I think that would be great for men and women. Women share but sometimes, are just looking for agreement instead of seeing others as a possible resource to learn tips for success or progress.

This podcast is hilarious 😂 I don’t have a Mensa card but I got all 4 answers right to those questions. We need more laughter, it’s a lot of serious things going on in this crazy world right now. This podcast is a nice distraction. I like hearing the male perspective on accountability. A woman can say something to a man and he doesn’t always receive it until it comes out of the mouth of another man. Looking forward to the next episode.

After listening to this episode no lie the last 10 mins got me. It always gets to me how men say they can’t be vulnerable. Definitely give yourself grace as men. It is okay to make mistakes. One thing I had to learn as a woman: I AM NOT MY MISTAKE. He forgives us when we ask the first time: FORGIVE YOURSELF. Honestly, you’re already taking the steps to break what that “thing” is that’s causing you, in your eyes, to not “do life right” In this podcast: being vulnerable. we are aren’t going to get this thing called life “right.” God knew this. Like you said GO TO HIM especially if you feel you can’t go to anyone else. We’re supposed to go to Him FIRST anyway. Show those weaknesses amongst each other. I think I can speak on WOMEN, not girls there’s a difference, US WOMEN WANT OUR MEN TO BE VULNERABLE. Stop holding that ish in!! This podcast I think I’m gone have to put at the top. Yall opened up here especially the last 20 mins of it. let your feelings OUT! We do! It’s about how you let them out. Therapy is definitely helpful also having that circle of like minded men (for yall) as well as we have our sister circle (wise counsel & accountable). Okay that’s my spill. This was good yall 👏🏾

So this Podcast reminded me a lot of the conversation with Dr. Yeager and Joshua Dubois. It was a very interesting p.o.v. on this topic. Accountability is very important even for women. Black men have it hard, and having that support among your peers is crucial for the success of your journeys. I do agree that being hooked up with the right peers is essential. The enemy would love to take your good and use it for evil. Great discussion. ALWAYS look to God to fill that empty space and He will replace it with His joy and those people that need to be on your team. Seek first the Kingdom of God and He will add all those things to you. Be blessed black men!

Great topic and conversation. You both made some good points about communication. I experienced vision loss and God has really been working on how I communicate with my loved ones and others. In this season I realize how to be assertive, direct, and patient when completing a task or getting assistance. You're right about establishing great counsel. I am working on that right now, and when we realize we're not alone that helps to let go of unnecessary pressure.

Another good one, Jon! 💪🏽💯🔥 I mean, this podcast could very well be the catalyst that some men may need to jump start these conversations that they have been reluctant to have for the reasons you’ve mentioned. Now, they see convos may be uncomfortable, but it’s necessary and they CAN happen. You’re showing some real emotional intelligence in even embracing the need for this. I love watching y’all process it all.

I saw a short clip of this on an Instagram story that was interesting, which brought me here to see the full podcast. This has actually been very insightful. I didn't realize the difficulty behind men being vulnerable, I knew that but not to this extent. Much respect to you brothers, seeing behind the curtain of the way men's minds operate is something that is good for women to know. Good job y'all.

I originally wasn’t gonna comment but me personally - when I talk about accountability I wanna know if you’re checking your homeboy about his behavior that literally terrifies / potentially harms women. Like if for example - your homeboy only wants a girl around when she’s drunk, you need to check him. But that’s just me. Also I think it’s actually kind of weird hearing two men discussing how women use information to hurt other women in the future and that’s awful. I remember being that way and I feel like as women as should definitely not be like that lol
