Earlier this summer, a group of women released a film where they apologised to men for how they had treated them. The film went viral, with hundreds of thousands of views. It also sparked polarised reactions - both for and against: • From Women To Men
The creator of the film was conflict resolution expert Dr Hanna Milling. Rebel Wisdom's David Fuller sat down with Hanna, and contributors to the film Ilan Stefani and Stefana Bosse to ask them about the process of making the film and the reaction it has created.
In the film, Dr Milling called for a new dialogue between men and women. Hanna, David, Ilan and therapist Rafia Morgan attempted a new form of conversation: • Men and women after #m...

At one point in the video they said if men could heal then they could truly treat women like goddesses. Ignoring the narcissistic motivations let's get to the point here. How do women actually react when you treat them like a goddess? I think we all know what the answer is to that one fellas.

I should have shut this off after seeing the first section of her film. I would have thought better of the world and continued on. Unfortunately I stayed to listen to the womyn's reasons for participating in the film - Narcissistic psycho-babble, cursory self examination that never strays too far from 'I am a goddess', 'love is everything' or 'I own my shit'. The boilerplate apologies, for stereotypical transgressions, come across as broadcasting virtue instead of contributing experience."If I ever did you wrong in any way"... - that's so non committal its almost 3rd person. Too easy, empty gesture. One woman, who's veiled compliment to her own greatness, comes through as "sorry for the mixed messages" 'I make you want it and then I get mad when that's all you want.". Yeah, poor us, LOL! Pure projection, pure delusion. Everything marinating in stereotypes too - men can't feel, can't express themselves, are desperately needy for womyn and are steeped in toxic masculinity. Its delusion, you can't have personal growth interacting with the world through a lens of negative stereotypes and false assumptions, obviously. So the apologies end up seeming disingenuous, (pompous, condescending, trite, petulant) whether its meant to be or not. Just another yoga pose. Will womyn ever get tired of patting themselves on the back?

As a man I was never led to believe that "sorry" is enough. If I created a mess of any kind, I knew it was my burden to clean it up. I dare not profess that all men are like this, but irresponsible men usually dont have a father in their life. That said, I have never in my 43 years dated an accountable women. It's almost like they cannot see the long-term chain reaction.

Why it sounds shallow and manipulative is because the message is addressed to men, not women. The shadow stuff is just more narcissism, which is part of the problem to start with. In any case, it has gone way past this type of self-help thing, it is now political and laws need to be changed, quite simply. Anything else is too little. That is the only discussion worth having. Talking about the feelings and grandstanding of abusers is simply sick. So great, take responsibility and fight for justice now. That is what a true apology means, otherwise it is simply more of the same. The action needs to stop, and it is obvious in the video that those are very shallow apologies to boot, with no real personal involvement. That is how psychopaths operate, they will apologize and get upset if those are not believed, which is what we saw here. Those are shallow emotions and not meant in any way, unless real change happens. It will happen whether they like it or not, but it is nice to know they like it. Makes no difference.

I am MAN, here is my apology to ALL WOMEN out there: I am deeply sorry to have cared for you and kids my whole life since kindergarden to high school and most years of hard work. Now, when the feminism (forcefully) liberated me from this care (no custody of my two kids), I can finally channel my resources to help other men, who were not as lucky as me. I can finally ACT on my dreams to prevent boys and men killing themselves, because this society does not see enough value in them and refuses to give them a hope by simply acknowledging they have problems but they are worthy to live. I can never be thankful enough for this channel to finally show the true female nature: when they feel a bit of guilt, they make an apology film. A simple act of this project by helping just one man, like giving a lunch for a homeless, or maybe giving him a pair of socks to fight the cold in the street or maybe preventing feminists to close down the last shelter for men and boys... This could make me shed a tear and give a prayer for their souls. As a MAN, I apologise to the rest of the world, as it is MY FAULT those useful idiots came to power and the western civilization is on decline, because all those “wellfare state” illusions voted by entitled people have a price, which you (the world) will have to pay. During this demise of society, I promise to educate every boy I meet about MGTOW, which is the only way for them to stay alive and mentally strong to prepare for the next Cycle, which will need strong MEN.

Thanks for that conversation. When #metoo was rampant I found little sympathy with men and women among my friends when I talked about the missing piece: the responsibility of us women for our behaviour towards men and for the possible consequences of what we are doing. It is so much easier to blame others for our suffering, playing the victims even then when we have heavily contributed to the outcome. It is not "political correct" to look for a complete picture instead of reversing guilt and shame on only one side of the participants.

I appreciate your apology but the damages has been done. I don't know if these wounds will ever heal, if can ever trust you again. The risk of trusting you is way too great, trusting you I risk my job, my lively hood, my good name , my honour, my freedom, my life. All that can be lost with one word from women, one lie, one misunderstanding, one accusation. I'm sorry to say, once the trust is broken, it is very different to return back to what it was. Take it or leave it. Recovery from breach of trust as difficult as recovery from betrayal from your best friend. Those wounds will have scar tissue at best, but in most cases it is an amputation. Hi, Folks. I don’t know how many women spoke in this video and it is not important. What is important are TWO things: 1. That these women said what they said, whether they ‘ackshully’ meant it or not, ‘cos it IS food for thought and you can not have a thought without that thought changing you to at least some small degree. Whether positively or negatively is YOUR choice, governed by how you think. 2. Whether they meant what they said or not, let us assume for a moment that they did sincerely mean it. They are not even one thousandth of one per cent of all the women in all of the Western world who have been behaving in the ways for which they are apologizing. When the percentage of women who ARE saying these things SINCERELY, they may be STARTING to make a dent in the issues that are currently separating them form the men to whom they are apologizing. Feminism regardless, women have been their own worst enemies for MILLENIA by the ways in which they have been dishonest with the men they claim to love. How so, you ask? 1. By EXPECTING men to ‘just know’ what they as women want, especially when it comes to sex, 2. ALL women habitually tell lies. OHHHH???? You think I am being a bit harsh and over-generalizing here? Then think about these things: a. Are they truly being honestly and authentically themselves when they put on high heels to make themselves appear taller and/or walk more ‘seductively’? b. Are they truly being honestly and authentically themselves when they put on make-up to change their appearance? c. Are they truly being honestly and authentically themselves when they put on a bra to ‘enhance their bustline? d. Are they truly being honestly and authentically themselves when they put on a foundation garment to change their body shape? e. Are they truly being honestly and authentically themselves when they put on false fingernails or eyelashes of pluck their eyebrows or shave their legs or armpits or colour their hair? f. g. h. Do I need to go on? 2A. When a man can see that something is troubling a woman and asks what it is and they reply, “Narrrthinnnnggggg”. And yet they DEMAND complete honesty from men, even while they are not prepared to offer the same in return. 3. They think that they alone have the right to reject an advance from a member of the opposite sex and that it is O.K. to do so but they can not handle it when a man rejects them. Sauce for the goose?????????? 4. They - some of them - will tell the most outrageous lies to destroy a man’s character and reputation by way of revenge for some tiny, minor, even IMAGINED slight. 5. They expect, nay, DEMAND forgiveness from men and yet they will carry grudges for years or even decades about even the slightest of things. O.K., enough of that. To the IMAGINED hurts. (OH??? You don’t like that word, “imagined”??? Then consider this.) Another human being - of either gender - can take a piece of timber or some other weapon and cause you immense PHYSICAL damage and hurt. BUTTTT, they CAN NOT hurt your mind with that same timber or other weapon ‘cos they can’t SEE it to target it, let alone ‘ackshully’ HIT it. ANY hurt that any of us may feel in our mind - or in our emotions, which is the same thing - is ENTIRELY OUR OWN CHOICE. Why do the physical injuries and signs of violence or rape heal and disappear WAY before the mental/emotional ‘mental/emotional’ injuries and signs. Because the body will heal itself naturally while we choose to NOT LET our minds or emotions heal. And this applies to BOTH genders. Yes, M’dear, there ARE ONLY two genders. ANYTHING else is an expression - or a denial - of one or the other. I have believed for about 4 ½ decades now that men and women were ‘designed’ by a far greater intelligence than mine - or yours - to be COMPLEMENTARY, NOT competitive. Each gender has sets of gifts which, if used co-operatively, can create within a pair a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we each and collectively told ourselves - AND our egos - to get out of the fucking way and become the loving, caring, compassionate, understanding beings that we are ALL capable of being - IF we would just allow it to be? Just my 0.02. You all have a wonderful 2019. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

For the women and creators of this film, what this film really showed was just how little women understand men, most were what are called 'back handed' apologies laced with shame, there was no real understanding of the male experience of what being in relationships with women is like. Many men and particularly MGTOW men don't need your apology as they have come to terms already with your behaviour, we understand and accept you for who you truly are (have always been) and have decided to live without romantic relationships with you. This decision has nothing to do with being angry, hurt, or upset, it is a push to be healthier happier and more free as men. If you listen there is currently a celebration among small groups of men and a longing to share it with others. Traditional men are literally dying from their romance with women while those who reject that path thrive, the comments weren't hate but survivors guilt... fake apologies are not what men need, they need women to accept an active role in changing themselves to something that is emotionally and psychologically healthier. I will admit this change in men is pretty shocking for women as they just didn't see what was going wrong in their relationships. Men were speaking for years but never listened to while feminism was busy looking for more control of society regardless of the impact on their relationships with men. With pain came clarity, men are realizing that the old relationships won't work so are choosing not to have them. Women will just have to accept those men who can tough it out or choose to offer healthier relationships to men who still want them. For the second option to paraphrase feminist doctrine, women will have to learn more about their 'toxic femininity' or from your title their female shadow: This is a massive task for women as relationship strategies such as hypoagency will be so hard to acknowledge and even harder to resist. The men complaining about this apology know what darkness lurks in the hearts of women, ask and some may tell you... Women should begin to ask men some questions before moving on to their next mission to change the world. Notice how the women making it felt so challenged by it, this is nothing compared to the apologies men are forced to make on a daily basis. Can you imagine if on top of this the women were shamed for it, this is something of what the male experience is in society right now. Dr Hanna Milling, the concept was a good one, but whose interest did you really have in mind when making it? It was interesting to see, but for me it only made me more certain "that women are not worthy of relationships with men" (Diana Davison). Most men will still have relationships anyway, hopefully the women who claim to love them will treat them well.

Shaming is never an argument... let me 'edumacate you' on toxicity and delusion. You are right in that MGTOW are the least of concern to women, with the exception of the occasional PUA style casual thing for some MGTOW when it comes to sex but most of those guys eventually go full monk as they become less fearful of their freedom. I don't know why everyone thinks that going your own way is extreme, the only change these men have made is no cohabitation/ romantic relationships with women; instead they use that time to focus on what makes them happy and self actualization. Men and women are truly equal to MGTOW, in platonic relationships with women we have the same standards within them as we do for with men but this is off topic: Men still defining their masculinity by women and society are the ones being hurt, this is the toxic delusion men suffer. Many people wonder why MGTOW publicly engage in gender discussions, most of us do it for the men in pain still. Privately our only concerns are where this affects our own freedom in society; you can't worry about that too much as you can't change it. Most MGTOW believe the old romantic relationship between men and women is destroyed, so there will be no going back to traditional relationships as they don't work for men anymore. This means that for women the only path seems to be to let feminism continue its path to wherever that may lead them... independence seems like a good goal, part of that will be not to assume that men will be interested in following the same life path that women want to follow; the feminine expectation mentality has to end for women to be happy with the life they choose. For relationships the future for women will involve a few less men and more of those men interested in living differently from past expectations; this means many men won't be thinking in the same way as previously when it comes to long term romantic relationships. Healthy men have no choice now but to think of their own health first, then to consider any relationships with women; some will inevitably decide they aren't interested. Some consequences of the changes men are being forced to make include less public protection of women to protecting only the vulnerable, a rejection of military service until things are fair for men, reduction of work hours/ a values shift from status building/ provider roles, selecting less dangerous/ dirty jobs, legal protection of assets, legal access to any children, the maintaining of friendships/ support systems, a simpler lifestyle, protecting physical health, and spending more time on what they love most. Men able to maintain their health right now under current pressures are turning to diamond, its beautiful to see men getting stronger and clearer. MGTOW grieve those who crack or shatter under romantic relationship pressures and celebrate the light shining through those who survive them. We may all be ultimately crushed and discarded by the women who claim to care for us but until then men should shine brightly. I really enjoy talking about the opportunity for men to escape their ancient biological roles that no longer serve our interest and that women no longer need. Women may still want us to do these roles, they may apologize when they reject them and promise to respect these old roles again, but thanks to feminism men now have the choice. Many men are choosing something better and healthier for themselves without the influence or approval of women; in this sense it is an exciting time to be a man. End Lesson.

In her book Heterophobia: Sexual Harassment and the Future of Feminism, Daphne Patai describes what she calls the "Sexual Harassment Industry." That book was published in 2000, 18 years ago. Women found their voice a long time ago; men have yet to find there's. There's nothing new about #MeToo except for the intensity of the rage. The film "From Women to Men" came along none too soon.

sorry - does matter- while the minefield is left in place and continues to grow. Sorry does not help- when the word "women" can't be associated with a negative - and "men" is endlessly. Can't have a discussion - where only one word is allowed to be tied to negative - the other must be attached to positive.

I LOVE these women. Let me be clear - for PEOPLE, male or female, to think "I don't have to apologize, or be held accountable" is an incredibly unhealthy mindset. We teach men that they should look at themselves and apologize - but these women even SAYING women should do the same is incredibly threatening to the feminist mindset. Feminist women - when they do wrong - typically try to "out victim" their victim. "I only did this because he /she 'hurt' me" - and it's often complete and utter crap.

For too long younger women only relate to men with antagonism, hostility and a sense of victimhood. This does not help men and women to get along. Notwithstanding, it is positive to see women understand feminism and feminists have been too anti-male and attacking men who do so much of the hard dirty work that holds the physical infrastructure of society together; how much more important is the relationships between the genders?

For those that have truly ( actually ) suffered then yes the me too movement is an important event in our society . But realistically this is a fraction of those who identify with it , it's a very modern ' first world ' phenomena from people who don't have much genuine cause for grievance. Any reasonable person wants a more respectful and considerate society but only the first world can afford this sort of self indulgent narcissistic dialogue . It's all pretty adolescent and takes away the focus from serious issues .

This is very important work and highly topical at the moment. Owning the shadow or dark feminine is the feminine equivalent of the hero's journey, and fundamental in reclaiming the feminine power which lies in this often banished aspect of a woman's psyche, and which otherwise acts subconsciously or covertly. Many myths are based on this journey into the underworld, Inanna, Persephone, etc. and the theme of the dark sister or fierce aspect of the feminine is also a recurring one.

Betrayal of trust goes both ways. And it tends to be the ruling factor (honestly!) when it is the byproduct of a lived experience. That last answer says it all.Otherwise we stay broken - knowingly, or unknowingly. Trust is a necessary thing for humans. Without it, it's like life in a video game disenchanted and disconnected from real life. A false guarantee that is, in the end, anti-human, really. Our biological destiny is perfectly married to our psychological state of development. (Notice I didn't say happiness - that is only a byproduct.) So perhaps it just comes down to this: When you betray trust, does it matter? And if so, why? And is forgiveness the most important part of the healing?

It has the same shape and feel as leftists victim olympics, this should only be used to reform the behaviour of people on individual and personal basis on their own if they have the capacity for change to begin with. And no amount of talk can change that unless human nature changes and that won't happen. Men won't become women and vice versa. Describe the typical women today and you might understand what i mean. What is socially accepted behaviour? Shaming and naming was a good mechanic to prevent radically negative behaviour. Not sure if i conveyed my message correctly but nothing better comes to mind.

That gives you legal reaponsibilty, but not rights" I also know several onther men whom were caught for kiddie cash, pregnant from a 1 night stand and have to pay 500 per month.
