I'm not sure why you say that cause the top does extra blunt damage and that's the weakness of men at arms I've tested this multiple times after their nerfs and in the case of top v bottom against each other it's top although there is one thing I can count on bottom doing which is while in that formation being charged seems to do nothing too them

Ok. Top line vs bottom line. Top wins everytime BUT that is with no doctrines. With doctrines and depending which ones, bottom seems to come out on top. I've tested. My son has better doctrines by a slight margin and he ends up winning. Both have noble doc and most are the same, but he has slightly better tiers.

The real important things are your doctrines. U need extra charge target and noble blood and then some other good doctrines

Lmao, u can't do anything just by cc-ing. U need a high dmg unit along with cc. All it takes is one ult from most heroes that will knock you where you can't "stand up" using a skill. then that hero walks up to you with MAA & u insta-die. Most common example: You are on a horse, LS ults you and you fall down, MAA insta-slaps u to death.

@rikrishshrestha5421 you're absolutely right. I use halb srg, wait for them to rush from cover command and shield rush LS ult, halbs stun & knockback. Can't get close to them or they shield bash you to death.

Could bring back the slowdown they used to have where they moved at a crawl while in cover commander, then either get rid of % regen and replace it with a flat recovery or get rid of auto charge. That way they are still effective as a frontline buckler unit but isn't overpowered. Also one of the reasons these guys get so overpowered is the doc's you can stick on em can get them insane.

They absolutely do need a nerf because they are the best unit in the game right now. A cooldown on cover commander like u suggest would be SO stupid but a way to balance them is to just decrease their initial dps a little

You people have no idea what you are talking about, limiting their cover commander usage would put them back to where they were before, the useless tier, at best they would become the same as paladins, their whole usability comes from the buff to their cover commander mode, all their damage is a burst from their cover charge and all their survivability is from their cover regeneration, putting them in a 30 or so seconds of cooldown makes them so useless that literally every other t4 will have better burst and survivability, except for maybe shield units that will have only better survivability, maa with that kind of cover commander would functionally be the same as tseregs or ironcap swords at best and ironcaps work because they are either in low tier games or fodder, the ONLY nerf they can receive and still be usable is the reduction in their cover charge damage, if cover commander is not reliable to use they will be nothing but paladins without the aoe heal. Learn how to counter them instead, they are not that strong against any other t4 that has burst, meaning most t4. All games with many maa ends uo the same, both teams bring them in play, at best half of them do a barely decent job at using them and only few will truly do good, the few that will have done good regardless, popularity doesn't mean anything if people don't know how to play, 1 bad cover charge and they can be easily overrun because after that initial cover commander charge burst, they essentially become the same crap unit as pre buff/mastery since, all the bonuses they received is reliant on getting that burst right, I literally had a game last night where me and another player, using isg, held half the enemy team using maa off long enough for our team to arrive and counter charge wiping them

@@ennou1236 they are really easily counterable I agree. Like every single gold unit kills them, they lose to cav, they lose to mauls and poleaxes, not really an issue for me

@@Alan-gt5lr maa are dangerous only when they have their cover charge available and that's every 8 or so seconds, in a 1 vs 1 if you bait it, a unit with a decent burst can quickly zero them, in team play any unit with a decent block can hold them off for the reast of the team to wipe, if one is a good player they can excel but for the average player they are as good as any unit

WHat the fu** are you talking about? An unit that use only 215 leadership, have active block, insane burst damage, HEAL plus the mobility is NOT OP? They can EASILY beat golden unit that uses 100 more leadership with EASE. The fact the 90% of the playerbase use then is the prof itself that the units is overtunned. There are tests showing that onlya few units can beat then, on 1 vs 1 (without here support). Now add the fact that the OTHER HERO will support their MMA plus that msot of their team is using it: how do you plan to counter? Even you say "ohohoh, put the cavalry" - Some fights are on the walls where cav cannot reach. "Iron Reapers can easily beat then" - If you need a golden unit to beat a purple that only proves that there is a design flaw. There should be more PURPLE units able to easily counter then.
