I don't think they believe women when women say "they'd rather have the truth." It all boils down to selfishness and desire to not have to own any fault. Men don't like to argue either. Men wanna be respected. If the man tells the truth, that woman most likely is gonna argue and tell him why he's wrong. And if he is wrong??? It goes back to he's not mature. Gaslighting, for example, tells you he's not able to be in a relationship and you need to end the relationship. Don't bother arguing. Just end it.

I agree but I get what he’s saying. We are so quick to paint everyone black and white, without really understanding what’s happening. This blocks our perspective as to why people do what they do. I always see everyone just paint people as all good or all bad, everything happens for a reason. I’ve met people who lie because they are generally afraid. It’s a problem for sure but sometimes trauma can teach a person from an early age that your feelings don’t matter and aren’t valid or okay. The person I know who does that, does that for that reason. It’s really sad . Especially when some people don’t realize that someone wants to love them but they are to afraid to let people any further

I was married to a man for 48 years and found out after he passed away that he had lied to me the whole time. I think I knew, but never could face the truth. He was 15 years older than me and had a horrible childhood. He's been gone 3 years and I'm still trying to face what happened. I alternate between anger, sadness and self loathing. Feel like I wasted those years in a fantasy. I know it will get easier, but it's been so painful.

My ex-husband was (per his therapist) a pathological liar. That man would lie about absolutely anything and didn't seem to understand why he did it. The hardest part was he always believed his lies after they came out of his mouth. I would show him proof that he was lying and then he would be mad/furious at me because I could prove him wrong. He lied to absolutely everyone. It was sad and scary. I've been divorced for 14 years and seem to constantly run into men with the same issues with dishonesty. I'm settled on being single and enjoying a peaceful and honest life.

I will not accept and be with a man who lies . I want my partner to be open and honest. And if I find the truth to not be compatible with me then we ain’t going further. That just mean we are not for each other. Open and honest Communication is the key for me. Also I don’t believe a man can change for you . Being truthful and honest is top-tier for me when building a relationship. If there's no trust, the relationship is DONE. Doubting and second guessing is stressful. If there's fear of judgment in expressing true feelings, something is wrong and that needs to be addressed and corrected asap. Scripture states that "Perfect love casts out fear." I want "perfect love" where my partner and I are free to be ourselves, free to express ourselves. No assuming. No projecting. Just asking, learning each other and growing more in love with each other daily.

Thank you for this information. I remember reading a quote you posted and what I can remember is a lie could bring you together in a relationship but the truth can break you apart. That's something I would always remember. I try to make a positive space and time for the man to tell me the truth without judgement but, if he still feels the need to lie its honesty his problem, or like you said in this video he's really not into me like that. All people lie because they believe they need to manipulate situations to get their needs met…essentially they feel disempowered. It also comes from emotional fragility. Our integrity shouldn’t depend on the reactions of others but unfortunately most people don’t have a very strong sense of self. So the result is we all interact both manipulating and being manipulated so we have to create these artificial reasons to tolerate it in order to keep connections intact. Genuine, open and honest connections are so rare because individuals don’t develop their personal power and sense of self.

I think judgement can come from both sides. A person can be seriously passionate about God and because of that he or she is seriously judged thinking that they don’t have a sensual side. Which is not necessarily true. Spiritual people tend to be more sensual ironically. 🤷♀️

Absolutely loved the way u werent even capable of shutting down ur natural response of CTFU when u addressed how som ppl have ben “institutionalized” into a belief system that demonizes oral sex n they hv fully integrated that thinking throughtout their whol mind n bodily systems. All this time i was walking into this relationship with trust because i dont want to be doubting someone all the time, his lies never matched up, he would change stories everytime and i found out he was hiding A LOT. What kills me is that most of these types of men are fathers and I feel like this questions should be asked... would they want their daughter or any of the female loves ones to be subjected to what they are doing to someone else daughter? That why I not a huge fan of broken men bc they go on to having children and they have ones so... honestly some men do it be they really don give care.... and that the nice side of saying that.

Truth! I can think of 1 in particular right now who projects the appearance of a good, honest, loving father but he has historically treated women like 💩. Can’t be honest to save his life. I genuinely hope his daughter never meets a snake like him - for her sake! 🐍

I’m in a LDR and my red flag radar is going off constantly. It’s almost a year…and I don’t trust this guy, even though he’s asked nothing from me, has been nothing but kind & affectionate (appropriately) but I’m just not buying what he’s selling. I’ve done all the due diligence I can on my end, I can’t find him anywhere. I deal with people as part of my job, have for over 4 decades so I have a pretty well developed BS meter. But I just don’t know what to do.

My biggest problem is a baby momma..an she apparently rules the roust. He tells me he wants to be with me.. yet shields me from his problems. So I kinda understand this lying crap.. yet I can’t have his phone number!? And he ‘Loves Me!?!?!!’ Nope. So shady. Yet tried for 8 months. Done done done. There’s alot of different reasons men lie. Some lie just because. There’s no danger. No desperation. Just feel a need to contribute to the conversation . I also think that lying is rooted in fear which is usually generational. If you’ve noticed alot of my comments talk about being whole. Being alone. Not to make excuses for bad behavior but there’s a root that has to be pulled up and confronted!
