So in combining your dark-tastes plus preferences is very possible. The challenges are: To create your own look, and feel your best with clothes, that fit, AND that feel good on. Reflexxuns, hello and welcome to the channel!- And I must say, after being in AZ, I know exactly what you mean when you mention too hot for some of these layers and layers of clothes I shared here. But, while in AZ, one can go Minimalist Corp Goth and go with the lightest and breathable fabrics in black one could find. Victorians loved cotton. Your video reply inspires me to create a Summer Corp Goth/hot weather video wearing the lightest and coolest ( no pun intended) clothes I can 'dig up'. Julian, I can see you watched two videos- How to Deal with Non-Goth, and Men's Corporate Goth Office. I wanted to say that in the cutting edge of our fashion the DIY, we invent new, and constantly are evolving, thus creating new Goth branches. Grunge Goth is the newest branch that I know of. I would make a suggestion ' Corporate Goth and Latter Day Saint' becomes a new concept 'Latter Day Goth' Its got a nice ring to it!

Mobstercrow- I got to the guinea pig part and smiled. I love them little pigs. Very cute indeed. Unfortunately, I have never found a velvet that is anti-hair resistant, in fact it seems like its the opposite, it attracts hair. I would suggest using an antistatic spray before the Gothic dress up.

You can still keep a bit of the eyeliner. Go minimum. If you are working in an office or job, and want to go CorpGoth, the best look is always Trad-Goth simple, the black on black on black formal look, you can still wear quite a bit of make-up. For being mid-30s, the coming into corporate is a new frontier with a lot of new fashion to explore. This year, in 2023, look over your wardrobe, and see, what can be worn at where you work. Ligiakallina, Yes, I can see your point on that. Actually, I had a much more alternative edgy cut a year ago, with shaved sides, and more heavier overhang in the front, which looked really cool. I sport that in my Ice Goth video. When filming this video, if I remember correctly,...I was meeting other professors that week. So a more 9-5 look was used.^^

GothicFker~ That magic word "RARE" is very close to my heart. You asked the best question. This is where two elements need to come together to get very special clothing. I had worked for a dance costuming department after graduation in 1996 from design school. The collections of dance costume departments material was so well constructed it can be worn for daily wear. The have yearly sales of goods because of lack of space and for selling to other dance costumes wardrobe places. They open these venues once a year to the public. Yet it all clothing they sell must be dry cleaned only. If you can find costuming collections that pieces are for sale (have seen before via Ebay) they can be dyed black, transformed and altered to your size. What I have seen in these collections are boots, top hats, canes, vests, belts, capes, tunics, bellow shirts, Tudor style clothes, velvet and silk jackets. Totally embellished with decor and all one of kind pieces. So if you are looking for "rare" dance companies are the 'first stop' as to getting mind bending pieces. The second idea is if you are looking for the look of Theatres Des Vampires you may need to contact with Madame Absinthe in Canada. She makes one of a kind Goth clothes.
