not even that. The grand slams happen every year, but aside from All English Open, the world championships happen three times in four years, Sudirman/Thomas/Uber Cup every 2 years and Asia Games only every 4 years. It's much harder to get the super grand slam in badminton.

Cheng Long was overshadowed by LD achievement so hard and yes, people were rooting for LCW in 2016 and I think that makes CL played with no pressure. He's still one of the best. And yes for TH... he has his unique style... a real natural gem

but only just! I always thought LD would be a better opponent to CL in the final. In the most important tournaments LD is far better than LCW and I even believe LD would have stand a much better chance of winning gold again in 2016. LCW had no chance at all against CL in this final.

He didn't lose closely. He have no chance in 2008 and 2016. Only one close was 2012.
