The minute you hear this, you instantly think "Are you *SURE* this is Russia?" Then you google Tuva, and discover it IS in Russia, and that it's a federal subject. It blows my mind how this even managed to make it past the Government there. It sounds so unlike the other anthems in the federal subjects there. It's not western sounding, but it is very much a mixture (at least 5% with some insturments) between traditional and the western style of music. Makes me wish that all the anthems beyond the Urals used traditional insturments to show that the Siberia part of Russia is unlike the European part. Maybe except Kalmykia since it's Mongolian. (Makes me wish they had their unique anthem instead of having a western-style sounding one.
