There are a lot more Vintage players in Magic Online, since the Power Nine and other Vintage-only cards are much more affordable there (at one point I bought a Black Lotus in Magic Online for $5). It's still not nearly as popular as other formats, though.

I play most of my original cards. They are definitely not anywhere near mint condition after 30 years of play. I do have several that I have just stored away against a rainy day. I found out years ago if I group most of my good cards together either crush whoever I’m playing against or someone starts pointing out all the band cards and start screaming about their lack of them.

I've played Vintage on Magic Online. Built a deck after Vintage Masters ended, since I was able to draft a bunch of P9 and only needed a couple more to build a competitive deck. It's surprisingly fun. I expected it to be annoying due to the degeneracy, but all in all, it ends up being surprisingly balanced, since all decks are OP.

From my point of view Time Vault needs extensive and comprehensive errata. I know that Wizards have tried a couple of times to balance this card. But they never went far enough. Taking into account how many times they tried, I would say that it needs an erratum which reflects all the different wordings and the problems caused. The main problem is that the card is easily abused or broken within a two card combo! This results from the fact that the card was produced when there were no alternative ways to manipulate artifacts, e.g. tutoring, untapping and tapping. Advocated aim for this erratum is to prevent using and breaking Time Vault within a two card combo. And to guarantee that Time Vault needs at least a three card combo to result in infinite turns. The suggested erratum contains the current rule text and the changes to it within square brackets. ****************************** Time Vault ***************************** Time Vault enters the battlefield tapped [and with a time counter on it]. Time Vault doesn't untap during your untap step [as long as there is a time counter]. [Time Vault cannot be untapped as long as there is a time counter.] If you would begin your turn while Time Vault is tapped, you may skip that turn [to remove time counters] instead. If you do, untap Time Vault. Tap: To take an extra turn after this one and put a new time counter on Time Vault.
@Henry.Paeppler.7089
@Henry.Paeppler.7089 3 күн бұрын
I thought about an erratum which contains the constraints of sentence two and three within one sentence. With a conditional clause (as long as there is...). But I would say it is better that way. Two sentences are easier to read and understand. Additionally the game mechanics are clearer that way! ***************************************** Time Vault ***************************************** Time Vault enters the battlefield tapped [and with a time counter on it]. Time Vault doesn't untap during your untap step [as long as there is a time counter]. [Time Vault cannot be untapped as long as there is a time counter.] If you would begin your turn while Time Vault is tapped, you may skip that turn [to remove all time counters] instead. If you do, untap Time Vault. Tap: To take an extra turn after this one and put a new time counter on Time Vault. ********************************************************************************************** Please note that I further specified to remove ALL time counters, when skipping a turn to untap the Vault.
