His co-founder Gill also came to visit us but stayed in the bathtub as she's camera-shy! I'm having fantastic result from intermittent fasting, whereby you stop eating at 8pm and don't eat again until 12 the next day (you can have tea coffee and snacks that don't raise blood sugar if you are desperate ie nuts) it makes your body burn the fat overnight instead of storing it and to reduce insulin levels. The rest of the time you can eat normally or some people reduce more sugar in the diet to prevent insulin levels rising at all

Thank you Trinh and Shakir honestly the last two years I have struggled with dismissive nurses and doctors, pushing quick solutions I felt dehumanised, embarrassment sadness. And basically decided to just leave things but the big M during lockdown has affected my life even more , as when you read out symptoms I had to admit that what I had been struggling with was all Menopause related. ThankYou both especially Trinny for bringing this topics to this forum and shining a light on a topic that is generally dismissed/ hidden.

I was raised by my Dad, and hence at 37 haven't a bloody clue about menopause (all I know is that my older girlfriends walk around with fans and periodically stick their heads into freezers). I think I may be perimenopausal, so this video is a lifesaver for someone like me. Thanks a million, Dr Shabir & Trinny!

Just FYI--as one who's born, raised in, lived and worked in Japan--there actually is a long word for menopause "KOH-NEN-KI-SHOU-GAI". Sadly, even in 2020, anything related to female reproductive health, especially menopause, is still a taboo subject. Some tv shows have started to tackle them, but not too many of my Japanese female friends 40's and up rarely talk about it. And if they do, they feel that it's not an excuse to feel sucky, depressed, gain weight, be sleepless, moody, etc. since our mothers and grandmothers would allow it to deter with every day life. Hence a lot of symptoms are brushed under the rug and told to "just eat better, less, do more exercise." And not really aired openly by most women.

Thank you Trinny so much for this informative video. I have a better understanding of what my 54 year old body is going through. Thanks so much!

Thank you so much Trinny and Shabir fantastic video. I had a partial hysterectomy about 5 years ago and have bought black cohosh then read about high bp so stopped after a few days. Then bought red clover but never took them religiously and bought bottles and wasted them. Currently taking nothing for the hot flushes and night sweats, don’t sleep well at all either. Lost two younger sisters in last two years also a reason for my anxiety. Definitely will get hold of the sage complex. Already taking the vitamins from your first video anxious about taking so many things as all my life took nothing. Now my list is vit d, probiotics, omega 3, superior hair, high bp medicine, sage complex to be added to list. Wonder if I need any of the others. But so grateful for Trinny in conjunction with Victoria health to guide and educate us. Wish we had discount codes 😂😂

I am experiencing menopause, 3 years in, it's fab not having periods any more, not too bad with the symptoms, bit moody and lack of libido at the beginning, but you know what I think I've turned a corner and getting back to feeling normal , had a short time on hrt but a good diet and loads of exercise and a good lube have mainly done it for me! I could listen to Shamir all day, he is very calming x

Thank you Trinny, for giving us the most practical and helpful information and, as you say, nothing is off the books to talk about out - love that! Shabir is so lovely and a wealth of knowledge; I just have one request, is it possible to have both of you a little closer to the mike or to have the mike turned up a bit? Your accents - though both elegant and music to the ear - make it occasionally difficult to discern what's been said. But definitely one of my favourite channels and love to you (and Shabir) XO

I have to find & try these supplements you´ve mentioned here👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

I've had leg cramps at night, and was advised that magnesium supplements may help if you have low levels. Lots of fresh green leafy vegetables are essential for us, as is ensuring our iron levels are optimised. These have helped me, and were recommended by an endocrinologist and physiotherapist. Otherwise exercise, good shoes, enough rest time, gentle stretching of your legs, hips and feet, is also beneficial. I hope this helps.

I'm glad you discussed soya. I wouldn't take a concentrated soya supplement, but do drink some soya milk. There isn't a lot of soya in that, but it is useful in hot drinks. Animal milks are from pregnant mammals, and must contain problematic mammalian hormones that our bodies aren't made to process. I love oat milks! I hope more oat milk options become available in cafes and restaurants, rather than just soya milk.

Would also be great to hear about the 12-21 years for men and women. I feel like that is just glossed over in a lot of ways but having 2 sons dealing with health crises related to thyroid and autoimmune issues at that time was a panic as I researched to lead the doctors. Love the advise Trinny and Shabir gives. I was 46 when I was diagnosed peri menopausal. I have tried numerous HRT tablets and still suffer from sweats, restless legs and cramps in legs and feet always trying to help my HRT through my diet and exercise. As Shamir said about soya I have thyroid issues and recently started to look at changing over from dairy to soya food stuffs and found out that soya effects the thyroid. Oiks as my doctor says it’s a mine field out there!! Thanks Trinny and Shabir💜💜💜💜

I really enjoyed watching this and I learnt so much! Hormones are fascinating to me. I was interested in your discussion about the drop in oestrogen that can cause hot flushes (due to the hypothalamus being affected) and you said a good way to combat this is by eating phytoestrogens. I wonder if you could tell me, if I suffer from hot flushes and sometimes a racing heartbeat at night, should I consider eating or drinking something rich in phytoestrogens before I go to bed?

Trinny, THANKS A MILLION for the interview on helping women with menopause! Mine started at 34 with hot flashes. I bought an over the counter test which read, negative. I didn’t believe it and went to my OB/GYN and my test was positive. My periods didn’t change at all. The HOT FLASHES WERE/ARE THE WORST! I tried black cohosh since it worked extremely well for my sister, it didn’t work for me. I heard about I-Cool sold at pharmacies, which helped tone down the heat for me. It’s no longer available at pharmacies so I order it online. Curious to know if it’s safe? I’m now 56 and fed up with the heat. I live in Florida! 🤬 I am going to try Sage Complex and Omega 7 SBA24 to see if it helps with my hot flashes and joints, etc... Great interview, however, I felt uncomfortable with the small personal space between you both in a narrow space. I noticed he kept leaning back. Perhaps for future interviews a couple of chairs might help? Please keep your videos coming!
