Do you know what constitutes a green light for breast cancer development? In other words, what enables breast cancer to develop in the first place? Alternatively, what constitutes a red light to prevent breast cancer development? Knowing the things that function as red and green lights empowers you to know and decrease your risk for breast cancer.

When you mentioned radiation is used to kill cancer cells but also kills other cells, it made me think of gardening…in a way of placing traps (or spraying) to kill the bad bugs but you always kill some good ones, too. Such a great video and you reminded me of myself in your pretty uniform. Of course, mine was not as pretty. ☺ Red lights and green lights make sense. See you next week, my dearest Barbie. 💕💕

Hello, my online doctor. First thank you for making me comfortable with treating patients with HRT. I use the gel divigel and seems not to relieve vasomotor symptoms

You need your dosage tweaked! I was the same. I still had some minor issues and went to a high strength patch. That helped

This is precisely the kind of thing for which I do one-on-one consultations. You definitely need one. I cannot tailor things specifically to you in a comment box. It requires much more information than you can give me here, and you deserve much more information than I can give you here. No two women are alike, and addressing your situation requires tailoring all the facts specifically to YOU. I do them all via online video conferencing. You can schedule at MenopauseTaylor.ME. I look forward to meeting you and helping you.

I have a question. In one of your videos you gave us an assessment that gives your risk of cancer by adding and subtracting things like how many children you have and how long you breastfeed etc. What about birth control? Since your final number is based on how many menstrual cycles you have, and birth control stops your menstrual cycle, would the number of years you took birth control be subtracted from that number as well?
@rosej9686
@rosej9686 6 ай бұрын
Good question.
@MenopauseTaylor
@MenopauseTaylor 6 ай бұрын
It depends on the birth control. The menstrual life equation is really about how many times you've ovulated. So, if the birth control prevented ovulation altogether, it decreased your menstrual life number (and therefore your risk of breast cancer). But if the birth control had no effect on ovulation, then it did not lower the menstrual life number or your risk for breast cancer.

@@MenopauseTaylor I am referring to birth control pills that stop ovulation. That was not mentioned in the video.

@@MenopauseTaylor Interesting, thank you for responding. I have done a lot of research on breast cancer prevention and they always say birth control pills RAISE your risk of breast cancer, but lower your risk of ovarian cancer. Do you know why that is?

Hi Dr. Taylor, I've been meaning to ask this question every time I watch a video with this reference - regarding menstruation cycles - if you start taking HRT but were not fully in menopause--I'm assuming this is a lot of women-- in my case I was mostly none for a year, then they restarted a few mos, then stopped - then I started HRT continuous. I continued to bleed sporadically for about the 1st year or just over, on HRT and I was told this is also normal - Not looking for specifics for my situation, just sharing some details because I assume many have the same story. Would the "end date" be before starting HRT? Or would the bleeding I had during that 1st year on HRT still be considered periods? This seems like a stupid question, but would love to understand as you refer to it in quite a few scenarios. Thanks so much!
@MenopauseTaylor
@MenopauseTaylor 6 ай бұрын
No question is stupid. Your last menstrual period is the last time you had a period, regardless of whether or not you were taking HRT. If you bleed unexpectedly on HRT, it is called "breakthrough bleeding" and warrants an evaluation.
@CM-wf5ww

Thank you so much for the reply and yes, I was fully evaluated during that time - to confirm then, breakthrough bleeding is still considered a period, in this context if I'm understanding. @@MenopauseTaylor

Sorry,a bit off topic but I just had my first DEXTA scan. It shows I have osteopenia in my hips. I had a blood test that says I’m in menopause. I’m 51. I’m on 50 mcg. Of estradiol in patch form. If I can get my Dr. to raise it to 1 mg. Will that help?

I present everything in units. Thus far, I have presented the units on the diseases of estrogen deficiency that are fatal. After that, I have presented the units on cancers that are fatal. I have not even begun the units on symptoms, which are not fatal. I have given you superficial education on everything. But, the real education is in the big units. And I never do anything willy-nilly and out of order. (I was born in Germany, into a military family, and became a Gynecologic Surgeon. I'm very organized.) The symptoms will begin with video # 483, airing on November 4, 2025 (Yes, 2025). The first symptom I will address is GSM. It will consist of 22 videos. I am always about 2 - 3 years ahead on creating this education for you. And I have already created the entire GSM unit.
