HOKA! Had privilege of dancing next to Paul Roughface - Ponca in the 80s. He was dancing Straight. Yet his father Dennis Roughface, was watching a stallion reacting to an incoming storm by galloping jumping rearing kicking and acting crazy. Dennis emulated this Crazy Dance of the Horse and took it to the People. Later in 1920s Charleston Ritz outfit fringe and sequin caps and dance steps were added and it then became known as the Fancy Dance. 1950s Rudolph New Moon added Hackles to the fluff on bustles which began seperation of Southern and Northern Fancy. Soon after Horse Fetlocks or long shaggy hair below knee and onto hoof were added using angora or Icelandic "goats". In 1970s small - Knee Leggings - were worn instead of goats by some that resembled the bottom part of bell bottoms - wrap around back and open slit area in front with a layer underneath.
