@@i.a3924 when we multiple 2:3:4 by 3 we get 6:9: 12 .. As per question the new ratio after adding 12 students is 8: 11: 14 The gap of ratios is actually due to addition of 12 students in each class. Now check 6:9:12 & 8: 11: 14 ( difference in each ratio is same 8-6 = 2 , 11-9 = 2 and 14-12 = 2 . And this 2 unit gap is actually equal to 12
