Today I ramble a bit as I talk about my experience with mental health, discuss Mental Health Awareness Month, and share with you the more raw parts of myself I don't typically discuss. However, given that I'm a practitioner, I feel like it's dishonest to present myself as having no struggles.
As many people have heard, helpers need help too. This isn't a cry for it, but an acknowledgement of my own humanity and trauma in hopes that it might resonate with you too. Your truth is real. Your hurt is real. Other people don't get to dictate that.
If no one ever told you, what happened wasn't your fault.
