James - two questions for your next Q & A show: 1) Why do you think more players do not work on their serve to improve / gain in edge in their games? Collin Johns and Wright come to mind? 2) You do an excellent job of attacking and putting away "easy" balls...why do so many players refuse to try and end the point on high balls near the net (despite his aggressiveness normally - Tyson comes to mind here)? Thanks and love the show.

Great Stuff. Thanks. Looking forward to more in 2024. I know you have a plan/strategy before each match. Can you talk some on how and when you choose to make in game adjustments. How do you decide its time to try something else? How do you decide what your going to change?

Do you ever fall into a kind of "rut" with pickleball where it feels like Ground Hog Day and the points are a boring pattern and formulaic? Serve deep, return deep, drop 3rd, block/punch the 4th back deep, etc etc. Sometimes doing this point after point after game after game can feel boring....just making all the "right" shots.

Hey James! Love the solo pods. Thanks for doing these! One quick question: What are your thoughts on grip changes especially at the net between eastern/continental/hybrid of both? Also what about grip changes in transition zone? For context, my backhand is fairly week with my slight-eastern grip. Thinking of changing that with grip changes at the net but not sure if you think its worth learning to change grips between shots or even slight changes in a firefight at the kitchen

Can you please provide some tips on how to win a game when your partner is lower skill level and becomes the target of attack? 80% of the ball goes to your partner.

This is a great short form format. I think if you continue these and mix in some with other guests, that is a great recipe! You provided alot of great information. One question is how did you rec play group respond to your intensity? I know its hard, especially where I am at to find people who can respect the drive to get better.

I think his rec play group is other pros (Anna etc) or 5.0s ….probably not like our rec groups 😂

A question: Other than practice, practice, practice, do you have any specific strategies to return deep? Maybe it's fear to overshoot on my part, but I struggle with this; in contrast, my serves are always deep.

Love the advice re taking rec games seriously to improve . When you play rec focussing on staying intense and "practicing winning" would that include feeling free to target weaker opponent relentlessly? In tournament play many matches result in targetting someone. In rec I hesitate more fearing the other side's stronger player is getting a bit ripped off seeing so few balls. Or do you just see that as an opportunity for strong players to learn how to get involved ? Great stuff.

Funny to see people backpeddal and almost fall down for overheads rather than turn and sidestep back where you can cover 10 feet very fast.
