Something I noticed about the audience picking the number 2 is he held up 2 fingers a few times, when he counted down from 5 he held up the number 2 differently than the other numbers, and he counted a couple times but stopped on the number too.

Probably like he said at the beginning, I try to plant thoughts in the back of your head. It's either that or it's a set-up.

My thoughts on that is that he keeps mentioning EYES and EYES, close your EYES, like he wants them to think, oh yeah i need to close my "2" eyes. And he keeps repeating the rules. So what you do is repeat the rules in your head and think of those eyes you need to close and after there's no time to think of a number. So you go with the easy 2. Physically, the 3 and 4 aren't really a thing human do as a reflex. 5 and 1 are the opposites, less chances. Like when you play rock paper scissors, you repeat : We'll go rock, paper, and at scissors we go OK ? , so let's repeat, at scissors, we show. and then 1-2-3 bam, the chances of them picking scissors isn't 33% anymore, you're implenting the word "Scissors" in their head. So since they are thinking about When to show their choice, they eventually go with the first choice they think about and it's gonna be scissors. Of course this is like a "mostlikely going to" Situation, but we can't see all the decorations in the studio. I'm pretty sure he made sur to put some "V" shapes and numbers 2 somewhere.

I did the same. I thought 5 at first then shifted to 2 that it would look cool. I feel he predicted 2 based on probability that ppl r used to keep v sign mostly and suppose if I had less explanation, I mean, directly if he asks to think a no. between 1 to 5, then numbers would be so random. So my guess here is, given that amount of time to choose a number between 1 to 5 like he did, study might have given 2. He had done his study in mentalism.
