If you are looking for a step by step guide on how to set up your Nokta Makro Legend for the beach you found the right video. I'll step you through all the menus and get you setup for beach metal detecting in no time. Some of these setting may need slight adjustments but that will depend on your conditions. Finally have a chance to get our new legend out today on an old park and going to try something different going into gold mode and trying it on a couple burried nuggets.A video should be up this evening, any advice would be greatly appreciated on this machine, new subscriber 👍

Have fun with it and take your time learning and mastering the menu navigation. That is the biggest issue w/that machine. Make sure you have at least version 1.11 loaded. That update made that machine amazing.

I have just bought a legend and with watching other videos i know that there's not that many adjustments that you make for beach but your video has helped me with the one thing and that's the balance. The other thing i was thinking of would i need to ground balance on the beach?

I agree the hidden settings are confusing. However, i love the legend!! works better than anything I have owned

I just bought this detector ( ledgen ) 6 weeks ago and I've found more ring in 6 week than with my AT PRO in many a year.

and you should, I love the AT Pro back in the day but multi-freq machines are now more capable than single VLF machines.

Hello there my friend. The channel is really great. Learned a lot from your experiences and website. I am using the nokta legend in miami beaches and trying detecting in the shallows, but am in need of some pointers for in the surf. Do you ever detect in the ocean? Is there any detector settings that would help reduce chatter and keep it working well? I appreciate any advice you have.

I use them both and they are about the same except for the price and I have not had any leakage with the Legend yet ,time will tell!

Any falsing? I'm running into some weird long tones at random times but I haven't been able to resolve it. Just curious, could be a wet sand thing going on.

I’ve been struggling with navigating this machine. I’m sure If I can just get used to it, it will be fine. It’s all the sub menus giving me a fit. That’s one thing about the Manticore I love seeing, a description of where you are at all times as you scroll through. I don’t want one, just wish this detector was East use.

Hey MM, doe’s Nokta update their online manual to reflect upgrades? I can’t tell because not sure of all the features and when they were introduced, thanks. I got out with tge 6” coil yesterday, nice little detector

Va.beach settings mw/md depending. If5 st2 sens 28 all metal. Ran like a champ. 1 small gold charm 4 tungstun rings a ton of change

Did you have to change any of these settings in Hilton Head,I used them the last beach hunt, they worked very good , the beach I went to is very small and very hunted but did find a really nice gold plated 925 ring with CZ all the way around it, the usual toy cars coins and junk,no gold KEEP ON DIGGIN!!!!!!!

Can you go over user profile. How many settings can it save. It is confusing , is there 4 or 16. Also, when you turn on mechine is it back to factory settings

Can these setting be used for underwater scuba .I'm trying to find underwater settings on KZfaq but to no avail.

Sorry I'm not a diver so I don't have a good answer. I would expect the Beach setup for wet sand would be where you need to be.

No most of my beach hunting was done at night and the video quality was bad.

You discussed the iron filter mode and suggested to leave at 8 however you didn't say what it does if you raise or lower that number, can you elaborate? It may be useful for me because I also hunt in rivers and constantly come across nails and other junk iron.

If you raise it higher than 8 you will start losing other targets. Using less won't hurt you but you will introduce more iron.

I had some falsing but once I cleaned the coil and went out again it seem much quieter so no not really. I dropped the iron filter down to 4 and set the stability to 3. Was very quiet and found a ring and all the other beach junk. :-) Worked well. I just prefer the Deus II over it.

I thought the ground balance had to do with stability?

if you have mineralized soil and you don't ground balance then your machine may become unstable. Ground balancing and noise canceling will ensure your machine will be optimized (and stable) for your hunting conditions. Every piece of ground is different.

Update 1.09 is pretty good if you want my opinion. Completely changed the game for that machine. Is it perfect? No It never will be but that update was a good one.

Why does a stability setting of 5 eliminate some gold finds? I'm running version 1.11 and while on wet sand my legend gives a constant stream of false signals unless I have stability at 5.

I'm not sure why you would be using stability unless you are hunting heavy iron but there is a trade off to using it. I don't recommend going past 6 or 7 because the signal distortion really starts impacting good signals. I suspect you are having this issue. As far as your Legend issues on wet sand, I don't have a lo of experience using it on wet sand so I'm not a good source to ask.
