I don't know. I don't really get that. I watched all of the episodes last year (with the girls) and she usually was very nice and sweet to them. She even hugged the entire "bad guy" team. She joked around with Esther a lot. She was constantly praising everyone who deserved it (even said "I love you" to An Qi). I guess there were maybe a FEW moments that were a bit more strict than she was with the boys, but not that much. I think there were actually only three instances with the girls, where it seemed more intense ((1) "Why don't you smile?" (2) "She keeps messing up." and (3) "This is so easy, why can't you just do it right.") And in all of those instances, her strictness was totally reasonable. She was never mean and never yelled. Generally, it was about the same with the boys and the girls. Lu Keran talked about how Lisa had them send videos of their practices and often called them to encourage them. When she got a high ranking, Snow Kong went out of her way to thank Lisa at the ranking ceremony because Lisa pointed out the key things she needed to improve and that made all the difference. People should watch the episode last year where her collaboration team was picking out a team name and see how much they all laughed together with Lisa. I really think the perception that she was super tough on the girls is mainly just due to the popular "tough mentor" videos that actually edited and selected just a few scenes to make it seem like she was stricter and tougher on them than she really was. People who didn't actually watch the whole show last season don't realize how she was generally just as sweet and caring for the girls as she was with the boys.

@@TEAM__POSEID0N Other than the editing, I also think it had more to do with the fact that Lisa wasn't there in person for ywy3. She couldn't see everyone properly. Plus, many of the trainees were hiding behind others (esp during the theme song), and so Lisa couldn't really correct them.

@@reya554 Yes, in the last season, when she had to switch from being there in person to doing everything by video conference, I think there was a hard adjustment to make. And much of that was probably not so much her as it was the show's producers and technical team that had to figure out how to make things work. Like you said, there were times where she couldn't really see what they were doing clearly. I think that was a problem with the equipment set up. Not enough camera angles, monitors being too small, too much distance from the cameras, etc. Later on, though, you could tell that it got better and more relaxed again toward the end of the season. People should look at the episode where Yvonne Wang was really messing up the theme song choreo and see how Lisa handled that. I think that was very typical of how she was with the girls most of the time. I think really the most intense moment last year was the "why don't you smile" segment with Nine One. But I also think that Lisa had to do that to get Nine One's attention. Nine One is so talented, but it was easy to see that (as a rapper) she really didn't think that there was any need to care about doing cute, smiling facial expressions even when that was the main point of a particular song and choreo. When Lisa made it really serious, Nine One got it and improved very quickly at being more versatile. She did point out problems with the boys too, quite seriously. For example, when Jerome D was hardly even trying on one of the choreos, she bluntly told him that even though he had a high-ranking in the show his skills were still very poor compared to his ranking.

She had some strict moments this season too. For some reason, they just were not edited into memes so people forgot about them. Like she got on Jerome D's case a couple of times and one time, when he was hardly even trying to do the choreo, she pointed out that she knew that he had a high ranking on the show but in her opinion his skills were still very poor compared to his ranking. And last season, she was usually chill. But the "tough mentor" type videos (which just selected only the strictest and toughest scenes) are what became popular, so many people forgot that most of her interactions with the girls were chill and fun. A good example is to watch how Lisa handled things in the scene where Yvonne Wang was totally forgetting and messing up the theme song choreo. That was actually quite typical of how chill she was last year too.

I love the way she was in both the season . Previously she expressed herself as a strict mentor and this season as a very friendly yet professional mentor . Now many memes have been created on her for the earlier one many has hated her for that ... But I just want to say the fact that you know for making someone better you have to be strict in no matter what, the outcome will be the best and she just was doing what she was supposed to do . She expressed herself in a different way being strict being professional just the way they will be tested as a trainee she took care of everyone's movement and did her best . Similarly we got to see a more friendly version of her this season and those who disrespected her earlier should see the this one too . She did her best and I'm so proud of her
