Menu is an exciting Belgian painter who has exhibited his work in France, Belgium and Italy. He explores a powerful spontaneous expression that nonetheless retains impressive order, with Menu placing great importance on design, balance and consistency in every composition. He is a colourist at heart and aims to use colours to communicate both joy and nuance, achieving an overall aesthetic that contains a vibrant visual world.

Explosive vistas of light and darkness, colors and space and lonliness personified by the shields of cascading rivers of reds and blues and yellows swarming together to hammer out a glimmer of light piercing through to signal the presence of hope or showcase the fear that lives in us all.

Mainly "speaking" colors (one color, for instance red or blue, often dominant in a work), not figurative, sometimes with suggestions of abstracted realities in it. I don't much like the few "simple" paintings ("rabbits", among others) with heavy black contours. It is difficult nowadays to be original with non-figurative work (for what originality is worth), but this painter succeeds very often,

some great rustic, primal, abstract, color compositions...bold effective use of red...good remote perspective cityscapes...🔴🟥🍎
