The way this goes from “haha, zombies cats dancing” to “holy shit they’re committing suicide out of fear of being slowly eaten to death” is horrifying.

Besides all the childhood trauma this video caused people I only recently found this and I love it so I decided to over analyze it for the little details At 0:13 you can see the billboard says meow At 0:16 the worm is actually crawling to the beat 0:21 their claws twitch to the beat 0:25 one of the graves says “tiddles” and the mushrooms have faces 0:32 tree in the background has a face Most of the graves have faces 0:45 one of the leaves on the tree has a face, something hiding in the other tree aswell 0:49 lit up sign in the background says meow and lots of objects in the city have faces, one example is the trash cans. No dogs sign in the city, street lamps and may other things resemble those of cats which leads me to assume this city is somewhere related to Kitty City from a different video. There’s also a billboard in the background about cows that could also be a reference to cows & cows & cows 1:06 there’s a mouse hole inside house 13 1:48 military cat 1211 was the first cat in the video to commit suicide 2:02 the band is playing inside an abandoned milk bar 2:06 the cats in this part of the video are very diverse, one of them being a Siamese cat having a completely different head shape whereas the black cat and the white cat both have less pointy ears. From this point of the video and on multiple cats starting killing themselves not because of the fact they will die anyway but because they wanted to join in on the zombie dance. Really gruesome reason to be honest. 2:23 the cats can own pets, there is a pet goldfish in the background 2:32 this video has credits, right here it says to illustration was by Sarah Brown, at 2:33 it says Animation + Music by Cyriak Harris, and at the very end of the video it repeats those credits again.

Got recommended this through reddit. To be honest, this is amazing and I'm surprised I've never seen it before. Especially having been a fan of the "Madness" series around that time. It's pretty cool how things can still be quite horrific with simple cute designs. I'm 14 years late to the party, but glad to be here! The animation has aged quite well. 😺

When I was a kid, this kinda traumatized me but also not really. And no matter how many times I watch this now, it's still a bit unsettling even tho it isn't scary. It's more disturbing than scary. There is something about this that is genuinely terrifying. I saw this 4 years ago and found it terrifying. Still do. Don’t know why, because realistic zombies aren’t scary for me but this video is. Probably because of all the cats killing themselves. It just makes me sick to my stomach. EDIT: for the people saying it’s the music, that actually might be it! I played it without watching and still got the feeling of a weight in my stomach.

I think what’s most scary about the video is the fact we see these cute little kittens die in such gruesome ways, plus there’s suicide, the cat that sliced its own wrist open , and the cat that hung itself, plus the ones jumping off the roof because of the ghosts (and the one soldier who shot himself) is terrifying

This was traumatizing to me as a kid. The gruesome fact that the other cats had to resort to taking their death into their own hands because they had no hope of survival combined with the distorted music and gore/dismemberment was terrifying to me as a kid and even now this is still terrifying. Even to other people seem to think so.

This is how Return of the living dead was, the zombie wouldn't die no matter what you did and burning them would kill them but then the disease becomes airborne when a zombie is burnt.
