Since it opened in October 1931, it has always been very much loved by the people of Modena, not only as the kitchen of Modena, but also as a place to exchange information and meet people.
It is built in the Art Nouveau style and is known as one of the most beautiful markets in Italy.
Although I don't live nearby, I often stop by when I visit the city center of Modena, not only to buy seasonal produce, but also to see and hear people talking loudly in Modena dialect, which cheers me up.
In the last five or six years, there has been an increase in the number of places you can eat in this market, and lunch and aperitivo times seem to be quite busy. I like to drink and to eat so it is a tempting place to frequent if I lived nearby. Good that it is far from where I live.

Usually on Saturday mornings you can barely pass each other, but on this day there were little customers for a Saturday.
On this day, after a stop at the market, I met up with a Korean friend who was a former colleague and good friend of mine after seven years.
We had coffee, lunch and still didn't have enough to talk about, so we walked round and round the city center of Modena from one end to the other and talked all the time. It had been a long time, but I didn't feel like it at all.
We promised to meet again before passing seven years.
There is a bar that appears briefly in the video. It is a bar where you can get special coffee in Modena.

This is a bar situated in a small street just in front of the Duomo.
It seems to also serve food. A bar with nice atmosphere.
