@berndknobe881 this is what I had sort of suspected. The right side would be radial intake with axial blowout and the left side would then be axial intake with radial blowout. Ventilation would then occur on either side by the resulting lower pressure on the outsides of the disk through the holes. In the next video I will show the inside of (axial side) of the rotors. Just got the confirmation: Mercedes rotors usually have an identical whole plattern for both sides l/h and r/h, different to e.g. BMW

@@berndknobe881 hi Bernd, we installed the new rotors and break pads two weeks ago. Your assessment is correct. The MB revised Rotor’s starting summer 2022 are radial intake on right side and axial intake left side (same rotor for both sides). However, MB changed the design of the Break pads also in the summer 2022: They are now flanged on top side for inside pad and both pads are now side specific, marked with rounded arrow and R and L Now the inner pad has some wiggle room when inserted into caliper and won’t lock up any more, dragging on rotor. It is imperative to make sure pads are installed on correct side, otherwise the inner pad will lock up again. Peter
