In the low gears it can get jerky if you’re in sport plus. In comfort mode it’s not bad. I got 15k miles on my 2019 c43 sedan and no complaints. Don’t get runflats tho 😂

Don’t get me wrong for 95% of driving the shifts are perfectly fine. However there are definitely occasions when the gear box ‘could do better’ and if you do drive in Sport or Sport+ then naturally the characteristics of the gear box are intentionally more “aggressive” on the change. And as I’ve mentioned before my direct comparison has always been against the Porsche PDK, which is a phenomenal gear box. The Merc gearbox is always going to fall a little short in that comparison. As for tires. I am now off the factory fit run-flats and have Michelin Pilot Sport. They are a considerable improvement. The ride comfort has improved and they definitely “crab and skip” a lot less during tight manoeuvres at slow speeds during very cold weather. The tires are no longer an issue for me at all. My car is ‘casually’ for sale at the moment. Testing the market to see if the right offer is out there somewhere

Hey :) yes i am aware of the crate. Its quite shallow sided and just wasn't working for me. I don't even keep it in the car as it was a source of a rattle at one time, so it was removed haha

Hi Geoff, you are correct it is a full front bumper off job... I also could see it was out off my comfort zone too so I actually had it done by www.cksperformance.com They’re based in Watford. Had a great experience with them. The website is nice and clear and for the price it really isn’t worth messing about with it yourself. Took them less than 2 hours to do the job, for less than £250 all in 👍🏼

Tyster in all honesty the standard audio in the C43 is average at best, particularly compared to my Porsche Macans standard. However, I’m not a huge audiophile and mostly listen to radio and podcasts anyway so it’s no major issue for me. The Burmeister also only came as part of a package that included a sunroof I believe, which I definitely did not want. So in conclusion, no regrets!

Thanks for your promp response! I see the aspect of not being a audiophile. I do listen to music all the time when I´am sitting in a car so it probably has a higher importance to me. However I´ve also heard that the Burmester isn´t a great system either. So for the price of the Burmester one is better off purchasing an aftermarket Hi-Fi system.
