Nice video! I have replaced the shifter bushings twice on my 85 380se and just recently on the 82 380sl. They were completely missing on my SL! Years ago, I purchased the tool from Kent at Mercedessource to install the bushings. It makes life a lot easier. On the SL , I took out the entire shift rod and did it on my workbench. It was a lot easier than doing it laying on my back with the car on ramps. I keep promising myself that I will buy myself a 4 post lift, but they are so expensive! Keep up the good work. I am waiting for my new timing chain tensioner to arrive. Preloading the old one helped a little,but it is still to weak.

Have a question I just bought a 560 sel and I am trying to tow it but it wont move from p I don’t know if it’s because it won’t start or what I am trying to get it in neutral

Would you know how to get it in neutral without it being on

You need to check the linkage and may have to move the lever on the transmission itself. It is the second position from P and it should snap in on each position. Don’t forget to set your parking break and securing vehicle from rolling before moving lever !!!!

@@inovahightechltd where is the linkage located
@inovahightechltd4 ай бұрын
@@sjs-mm3jy on the driver side of the car. You need to go underneath the vehicle to move the linkage.
