Good idea to test drive A35 in person to get a feel for its flexibilty: good for close city driving in Sport+ mode, drives very tight around roundabouts and bridges/tunnnels in 4matic/very fast from race start with auto gears changing rapidly (R, TTS smoked...), but can still cruise in comfort mode on longer motorway trips, c40 mpg max.

A great 👍🏾 daily driver indeed. Tons of power too from the 2.0L engine - 306 HP is quite a bit from the small frame of this car! Wonderful review!

I have to admit, Mercedes AMG is badass. Always such fun raw sounding power. This one sounds better in the cabin, the exhaust muffles that engine by the tail pipe. The air vents are interesting. It's a Mercedes hatch??!# lol like a subaru.

Incredible coiincidence... This morning I was a bit day-dreaming and asking myself "If I had to buy a new car, what would it be?" and the answer was "A Class-A 45 AMG, but it's a bit too extreme". And.. here you come with this A35!!!! I did not know about this car... Certainly a great compromise.. But I don't know if they sell it with beige interior. As usual, great video. In that case, I found it even more informative since I knew nothing about that model... Great video. You cracked me up with your "hey Mercedes..".. Felt like two blondes talking together :P :P When you said "I'm hot", I thought the car was going to answer " I know.. me too"... :)

Best interior off all. I believe these four wheel drive cars make average drivers into really good drivers. I wonder is this the future of hatchbacks....2 litres, four cylinder, four wheel drive as there seem to be a lot of them on the market and manufacturers are all following the same path

Great review of the Mercedes AMG A-35. The A-35 looks and sounds quite amazing for a hot hatch. I got to say I like the 0-100 bit on the video but then again I like the whole video. Now you can't use Blonde joke anymore because of the brunette A-35 lady got confused with your command when you said that you were hot, 1:36. Sorry, bad joke. Well just be glad that I wasn't the voice on the A-35 because I would reply to "I am hot" I would say "I Know you are ;-)". I probably shouldn't write that, I don't want to offend you. Amazing video as always. All the best. :-)

Anna, quite like this one, but the interior puts me off, too shiny and chintzy. You are correct about the tech in today's cars. There's too much for my liking, I really don't want emails in my car and to be honest I don't want my car to do stuff for me, like find the nearest gas station or turn the heating up, or keep me in lane or auto braking, I can manage. Maybe it's a generational thing. I yearn for an 1970's Porsche 911S as basic as can be.

Is it just me, or does everything today have a 2.0 4-cyl Turbo with 300 HP? Even I have an Audi S3 with a 2.0T 296 HP AWD. Its actually ok, IF you are ok with waiting 2 seconds for power to come on in 1/0 fashion. Which I am not. Great review of the Merc version of basically the same base car as my VW. But almost 2x the money, which would be great for a V6 or V8 version.
