Mercedes AMG S63 Review | A Proper Land Yacht

The Mercedes AMG S63 from the prior generation is still an unbelievable car to drive. With its big body, it fully classifies as a land yacht along with all of its luxuries. The W222 generation was a huge leap forward for the S Class and it proved to be a stepping stone to the current generation.
The interior and exterior changes were vast for the S63 and even though the new generation is now available, this previous W222 generation still has a lot to offer. The interior and exterior designs still look modern and the overall quality is still high.
Oh and did I mention that it has a twin turbo v8 that produces more than 600 horsepower and torque. Simply put, this AMG S63 is a monster of a car, even considering its size. It will deliver a mostly comfortable ride because there are some underpinnings of sportiness, but overall, it’s a missile in a straight line. Watch the full review for all the details!

would you say the ride quality on this is better or worse than the white bentley flying spur v8s you reviewed? both in comfort mode, which rides softer?

Bentley is better. Rides softer.

I still want a Mercedes AMG S63, but after a long search I found that Mercedes needs a lot of money because it is a car that goes to the garage a lot for maintenance 💔

Far from the truth we have a 2016 E300 edition E, a 2019 S63 AMG, and a 2016 G63 AMG all purchased brand new and we've never had to take any of those vehicles into the garage except for regular maintenance. Ironically the only car that did require additional maintenance was the E class (we drove it to saudi and ended up having to replace the fuel tank) That was the most "expensive" repair comig in at 1500 USD but apart from that as long as you look after those beautiful babies you've got nothing to worry about !

The only advice I have for you is to make sure you get the car inspected to the T if you plan on purhcasing one pre-owned ! That way in the event of underlying issues you know exactly how much and what to expect.

A luxury performance large car like that should not emit the crakles and pops. That's just childish.

Its a Amg its meant to be the best of both worlds. The BMW m760i is way louder with more pops and crackles. ( You can turn it off if you dont want to here the exhaust do that).

It may not be easy to convince the dealer to take it out for a spin and yet you did it! Kudos. However - if you drive such an expensive car - you want to make sure you don’t give us a shot of your new haircut. You may have thought only women are watching this. Bad news - it’s only us, dudes. So while for you this vid maybe something to keep in your saved “You and MB” we do not care about that. This is a vid made for your personal use. We want a POV shot when you drive. We do not want to see your FACE in the few privileged moments of you driving this awesome car - We want to see the dashboard and a pov shot. We care about the CAR not the face of the driver. Hope this is not a shock to you.
