He reached out almost a year ago in regards to filming a video of his beautifully maintained Mercedes 190E 2.3 16V. Camera car operation was managed and executed extremely well by Mark Enriquez also known as @1llest on IG. This was a two day shoot and once we got started and the rest was history.

@@josephdurling2565 True because Mercedes wasn't even supposed to be working on it in the first place 1. Because they had already spent ridiculous amounts of money on developing the rest of the car 2. Because the engineers with Mercedes weren't supposed to be working on anything having to do with motorsports so they were trying to keep everything under wraps, and 3. Because the 2.3-16v was initially intended to be a rally car and Cosworth had already proven they could tune a damn good rally engine, something proven by the fact that, for all intents and purposes the 2.3-16v is a better engine than the one BMW made in house for the M3, being significantly smoother and easier to use while also being just as fast.

The best compact Mercedes ever. Used to have one 10 years ago. Recently drove a 2020 C Klass. One of the most disgusting cars in my recent memory. Great car, great filming. Thumbs up!

So glad to see this car getting the love it deserves. My first car, was a grey market I paid $3k for. Beat the HELL out of the car, unbelievable durability. Selling it is one of my biggest regrets still, 20 years later.

This may be one of the absolute best 190E films on KZfaq today. Definitely top 10. Perfect music selection to go along with the old school vibe. Excellent rolling shots. I had a ice berg blue one it was amazing driving it around.the hood ornaments on the 190e looked as if they were floating.Older Mercedes we’re quality mine was a 1991 196,000 miles on it it ran good was a bargain compared to the new ones.Wish I had hanged on to it.
