Are the wheel flares molded onto the body and fenders or are they moldings that come off?

Good question Alfonso. The factory flares are made out of reinforcedd fiber glass and they bolt onto the fender. Fenders are unique to the EVO 1, as the wheel gap is larger to accomodate the larger wheel and the flare clips.

hi I'm very curious about this 2.5-16V Evo I. The Wikipedia says Merc produced 502 units. But you said only 500 was produced I wanna know how did you get the information of production about this car. Thank you! (I'm an university student, learning English now. My Englis listening is not very good. ah)

He said "500 made for the public". 502 were built but only 500 of them were actually made available for sale to the general public at the 1989 Geneva Auto Show. The additional two were reported to have been made for, and retained by, AMG and Mercedes-Benz and were reportedly painted in Astral Silver instead of the normal Blue-black Metallic used for the production Evos.

3:50 "It's got more power" 4:01 "More power" Have you seen Donnie Brasco? Great car btw, I recently had a 2.3 Kompressor swap into my 190e and I'm thinking of Evo1 body kit. Obviously it won't be as great as original but can't afford the real deal.

Good question. I don't know if it has a specific name. Many know it as the Evo 1 wheel because it came on these cars from the factory. Also available on early R129 cars.

There was "2.5-16", "2.5-16 Evolution" and "2.5-16 Evolution 2". This is the "2.5-16 Evolution"; aka "Evo 1"
