The lens of a headlamp of the Actros needs to be replaced.
The headlamp itself is not replaced for this, it is just removed.
Remove the panel on the headlamp.
Remove the screw using a socket.
The retaining screws for the headlamp are located behind the panel.
These can be recognized by their blue sleeve.
Unscrew the screws in order to fold out the headlamp.
Detach the connector.
Cut through both cable ties.
Reach through the panel and remove the last three bolts with a ratchet.
The headlamp can now be removed.
Remove the clips from all sides using a screwdriver.
Pry off the lens carefully.
Check whether the headlamp itself is dirty.
Insert a new sealing ring and press it on firmly along the outsides of the headlamp.
Fit the new lens.
Check for correct seating before fixing it in place with clips.
Fix the new lens in place with clips.
The headlamp can be reinstalled.
Finally, check headlamp adjustment and perform a function test.
