Merc = to be driven slowly to enjoy the smooth ride with very low engine noise and tyre noise. the experience is like your travelling in a flight. makes u feel relaxed but doesnt give excitement.. BMW = to be driven like you own the road to enjoy the sheer power with that supreme handling and lightning fast throttle response. the experience is like you are travelling in a fighter plane.. its not perfect luxury but its the best experience.. Source : I own a 3 series and have owned a merc

+Felix Lau If you are looking for a very smooth and untiring experience, Merc is the car for you. If you are looking for mind blowing performance and throttle response, BMW should be your obvious choice.

The new Audi A4 is a very capable car. But the basic characteristics remain the same as other Audis. Audis, Mercs, Jaguars are brands which focus more on comfortable driving since they are luxury cars. Whereas BMW is the brands which focus more on performance since it is a performance car/sports sedan. These are the things you will find better in a BMW compared to Merc/Audi/Jag are handling, chassis, weight distribution, throttle response, steering feedback, high speed corrnering, high speed driving. The things you will find better in Audi/Merc/Jag compared to BMW are ride quality(since the suspension is tuned to a softer setting), road noise, tyre noise, engine refinement, build quality, back seat comfort.

C class is a more quality product but the 3 series is sportier. i would probably take the bmw but the benz is a really solid car

Overall, in my opinion the 3 series is a better car. Though its not as luxurious as the merc but still its luxurious enough. It has a better high speed ride and also handles well. Performance is where BMW scores much higher. Also it looks good and sporty enough with nice interiors. Also priced well.

If you enjoy driving, no replacement for BMW 3. If you're chaffeured around then C it is. But A4 2016 is better than C in that respect. Audi now enjoys better brand value too in India.

well i have driven em both but ill choose the 3 series over the merc since ill be driving it myself but yeah the interiors of the c class is in a different league all together!

How much does the M performance kit cost excluding the car?

was the car in sport mode? Cause everything tightens up in sport mode and nothing feels loose. the suspension becomes stiffer as well. Just curious to know. But BMW is by far a better car than the c-class.

mercedes is way better imo...better design outside, interiors are just pure luxury and is way more modern then bmw... bmw handles slightly better but i wouldnt care that much, unless your a pro driver you wont notice the difference which is small anyway...after all these are not sportscar.

Absolutely got it right about the rear seat. I would take the BMW eyes closed every time over the Mercedes for the better rear seat alone. Not to mention the ride quality and driving performance of the BMW is far superior to the Merc. Also, the 3 series has a timeless design and it will look good 10 years later as well. Where as the Merc was refreshing to look at when it launched but having seen enough C classes on roads, I can honestly say it will not look good as time progresses. BMWs have better reliability as well. Having said all this, I was surprised at the verdict.

Considering the extra price one pays for the Mercedes yet get limited space at the rear n not so great drive as compared to bmw I am sure people would buy bmw anyday. I own d 3 series and driving it alone will sell U over the Mercedes. Take a test drive of both before U conclude on either.

If you want luxury you go for the merc if you want performance you go for the bmw

performance u get in C clase too but confort and luxury u dont take in bmw
