W124 of every flavour is a dime a dozen here in South Africa. Prices range from $500 to $10000. I bought my 1990 300E with full service history at the Mercedes Dealer and 210K kilos for just $2000. It is a pleasure to drive. Best car I ever owned.

These are marvellous cars! I'm seriously thinking to look for a W124 in Japan because it's the best place to find high end models in perfect condition and low mileage. It's kinda weird that there aren't many worthy to buy left in Germany O_o

this model is the one i love the most! i owned 4 with with different engines, sedan and wagon chassis , regret to have moved to W210....124 is a real timeless model....

I have a 87 turbo diesel W124 with 400K. I jist bought a 95 non turbo W124 with 196K. I love the looks and ride of these cars! I have never drove a W123 and so wish ro do so in the future.

Der W 124 Diesel ist doch der langlebigste und Pflegeleichteste Mercedes zugleich 300 d 24V ein Traum Er ist der letzte Vorkammerdiesel Überhaupt solche gute Technik gibt es heute nicht mehr

I got c124 2.0 diesel, it's perfect, i found it abandoned, and crashed. I fix it and i drive it now. It has 350000 km

For the same value, I'd over prefer to drive one of this "old-fashioned" well maintained than a low-cost modern compact crap !
