Auch weil Adolf Hitler damit gefahren ist sind es besondere Fahrzeuge. Natürlich auch deswegen. Ich finde es erschreckend wie Angst die Leute haben das auszusprechen. Natürlich hat er Krieg und Zerstörung gebracht, aber das tat Napoleon auch! Es sind jedenfalls dolle Autos und das Herr Hitler damit gefahren ist bemerkenswert!

Beautiful and well maintained Sinsheim Museum, visited in Dec 2012. 1938 model silver color Mercedes-Benz W31 type G4 was a German three-axle

Pity they don’t take good care of the Planes. I hated taking people to it and the sister museums and seeing the dust and neglect. I don’t remember it being that bright. The car section was always dark and dingy.

Mercedes-Benz G4, lt. Reinhard Frank "Personenwagen der Wehrmacht" wurden von 1933-1939 72 Fahrzeuge mit verschiedenen Motoren (8 Zyl. 5,0 ltr 100 PS; 5,3 ltr 115 PS; 5,4 ltr 110 PS) gebaut. Gewicht 4,5 Tonnen, Verbrauch 28-38 Liter / 100 km. Mercedes-Benz G4, according to Reinhard Frank "Personenwagen der Wehrmacht" were built from 1933-1939 72 vehicles with different engines (8 cyl. 5. 0 ltr 100 hp; 5. 3 ltr 115 hp; 5. 4 ltr 110 hp) were built. Weight 4. 5 tons, consumption 28-38 liters / 100 km.

Jawohl! Tonnenweise harter Kruppstahl und zähes Leder. Aufgrund des hohen Gewichtes war die Fuhre aber wohl höchstens so flink wie ein Windhund. Obwohl Hitler mit dem Vehikel immer heil angekommen zu sein schein, war es wohl doch nicht die Endlösung der Fortbewegungsfrage.

Zu Zeiten der Inquisition dürften die Erfüllungsgehilfen der katholischen Kirche bestimmt ähnlich viele Unschuldige gemeuchelt haben wie die Nationalsozialisten währen des Zweiten Weltkrieges. Did not even know that the cars still exists, I thought after the bombings and the Russian onslaught against the third Reich, there be nothing left. It's a miracle it's these cars hear and it looks like most of them are in one piece ! .

another one of his cars ended up in the US then Canadian motorpools. In a museum in Canada now... They were just cars after the war. Now how Goering's collection got to Russia, now that is another story.

At a rod & Custom show in '75, I saw what was touted as Hitler's 1943 armored limo. It was battered, with a .45 bullet hole halfway through the 3" thick right rear door window and a hole cut in the rear fender so you could feel the armor plate. It had inner & outer windshield defrosters and could be greased using a dashboard control. It had missing "idiot stick" signals and a RED spotlight on the driver's side. That may be it, totally restored. They should have that window on display. The sign said original windshield was delaminated, possibly because of the inner & outer defroster temperature vs. the middle of the window. (I met a man who claimed to have seen this car late in the war, before it was vandalized).

@@carlbrutananadilewski3345 -----I rewatched the vid, and noted that the limo did not have the large outside defroster vents. Has the car been restored? Admittedly, the glass will be hard to duplicate, although that right rear window with the .45 bullet hole would be a nice display, like the one shown in the vid. Too bad they couldn't get ahold of it before it was vandalized.

One little correction as a German: Russian winter stopped this knowhow and predecided WW2. How tragic that so many soldiers died on both sides. Let us cherish our freedom!

@@medialex78 No its not the winter stopped. The german Army, it was AH decision to go South, to Stalingrad, and Not to take Moscow, a fundamental disaster

@@hanselundgretelgretelundha7686 Wenn du keine Ahnung hast welche Impfschäden zu erwarten sind solltest du ganz still sein, deinen Kopf zu machen und niemanden beleidigen der Schlimmes befürchtet. Mein Schwiegervater war letzte Woche impfen und liegt seitdem im Spital mit lebensgefährlichen Kreislaufproblemen und war davor recht gesund. Also, behalt dein Scheixx Nichtswissen für dich.

@@manuelduran2271 Es lo que tiene, vivimos en un país ideologizado donde todo pasa por el filtro ideológico y a veces nos olvidamos del por qué algo es bueno o algo es malo... por eso que avanzamos tan lento... mis dos abuelos eran de bandos opuestos y al final, tan amigos... pero de un tiempo a esta parte hay nos estamos empeñando en volver sobre nuestros pasos 50 años atrás para revivirlo de nuevo y no se si por intereses ocultos.

Das Fahrzeug war ein Feuerwehrwagen und wurde umgebaut. Sehr ident aber der Wagen hat mit AH nichts zu tun. Kann man in Sinnsheim beim Besuch lesen.

OK experts, @ 0:33 & 0:39 historic photographs clearly show the G4 with color-keyed (grey) painted rims (to match the grey body color). Q: So why do most restored G4s (including this one) have BLACK painted rims?
