The Mercedes-Benz GLC has been one of the most popular luxury SUVs in India ever since it first made its debut in 2016. In 2023, it received a generational update with sharper styling, a completely new interior and more features, all of which have made it the best GLC yet. Although we've already reviewed the GLC, there's still a lot to talk about it. These prices are frankly quite ridiculous. 3.5 years ago one could buy a GLC at 52 lacs. Now the price has doubled. There is NO logic to this kind of price increase in this kind of time frame.

I agree the price is ludicrous but a glc was never 52L even at launch. Unless ur talking ex show room prices. When it launched in around 2017 it was 60L+.

For similar price or slightly lesser you do get the discovery sport and Evoque. Which one is better car ?

One crore rupees but there’s no Adaptive damping suspension or air suspension. International model offers air suspension but not offers to India. Rear seat thigh support is poor for one crore rupees car. C segment Mercedes always ignore the rear passengers.

This GLC is way overpriced .... Will buy cars from Skoda and VW

Exactly! The Kodiaq seems to be an absolute VFM product (if you excuse the brand image) and is built like a tank. It would be great if Skoda introduces it with the 2.0 TDI.

@@adityasundar324 Kodiaq is OG. Love the styling of it also. Great quality and now seems like brillant pricing when compared to this GLC.

@shaikaftab1199 True that. Skoda is expected to bring their 2.0 TDI Superb as a CBU to India sometime later this year. If it comes with a higher tune of 190 hp and 4x4, we have an absolute winner. Truth be told, we lost many good Skoda and VW cars because of their not so good AS&S. Things have changed a lot. I can still vividly remember the first time I saw the VW Phaeton and VW Toureg on road. Hopefully, we get back good cars from VWAG stable in India.

What about ADAS? Might be way out of league but not sure what is the real delta when say the XUV700 offers 7 seats, ADAS, 200 BHP. This may be few seconds faster etc. but it doesn't mean much.. lack of ADAS is especially surprising!! Gone are the days when money used fo get better safety, way better speed etc. Now it probably comes down to badge value and few bling elements.

@@Balakrishna1981-fw7rm i have seltos gtx + 2024 . The adas feature i feel is absolutely not needed. Mainly it isn't meant for Indian condition. Recently I faced a issue on auto emergency breaking while I was on a very heavy traffic. The moment I used to get closer to a vehicle. It was automatically applying brakes and the brakes are very hard. Hence, I think it is of no use. Not mainly lane keep automatically turns the steering wheel all these feature cuts off the pleasure of driving. Although it's all good to have features but make me feels as if they car is controlling me rather which i was supposed to.
