Android Navigation install for Mercedes-Benz B C E V X GLC GLE GLS GLA CLA CLS 2016-2019 (NTG 5.0/5.1) cable connection & setting guide, android no sound /no audio fixed!

NO SOUND Checking list:
(1) Check if you have moved the optical fiber cable correctly.
(notice the direction of optical cable, and you should plug to right spot)
(2) Check if you have connected the "USB/AUX "Audio box
(3) Check if you have set the "AUX position" correctly.
(4) When your phone connected to Apple Carplay (or Android Auto), it not allow to connect to OEM Bluetooth, if not, it also have sound problem.

Thanks for your sharing the knowledge. I have very limited knowledge about the wiring but with your advise, I could make it happened. Some important point is the AUX position number. Watch it carefully otherwise, sound would not come out as you wish. Thumb up and please keep on doing good things

I have just found out another point, if you start up the engine while the android was at the same stage befor you killed the engine, android sound would not work. You will need to go to original mb Radio and then, choose Media to start up android again, then you will get the sound. @@HifimaxOfficial

Hi there. I have all cables connected including the usb in the armrest. I have no sound coming from the unit itself when playing KZfaq. CarPlay only works on Bluetooth.

To enable sound via USB, the only way is to put the wire from the center unit to the armrest box (there are two USB ports in there). It's REALLY difficult to place the wire go beneath the knob/button/touchpad panel all the way to the box, I wonder if there're ways to do it? Any comments/tutorial videos would be appreciated!

Hi My car doesn’t have the fiber optic cables. It’s a 2016 glc300. Will I need to use the auxiliary cable into the USB port in the armrest box?

The car with or without fiber optic cable, they are ok to install this android , and android screen, the sound go through AUX , so, if has nothing to do with the optical fiber cable.

Hello, Thanks for the tutorials. They helped me a lot with the android screen setup. But... I'm getting some anomalies. Sometimes when starting the car, the screen is set to OEM and sometimes to Android, so when it is on OEM it is sometimes on the radio, sometimes on navigation or on media. Also, my iPhone sometimes connects to the phone and sometimes to car play. In short, I never know what will appear on the android screen when I start the car. do you know why

In the factory setting , it have a option to set it , you car set to OEM or Android home page or “ last mode” ,

Hi, thank you for your informative videos. I just purchased android 13 screen for my A class NTG5 car but can't get sound from AUX. 1- 1ST AUXILIARY POSITION IS 3 ON MY CAR BUT WHAT IS THE 2ND? 2- In the Aux box, there is a button, what is that used for? Thank you so much.

The NTG 5.0 , the sound work for USB, this video have told how to set it , also , I don’t clear “ button “ you mentioned.

@@HifimaxOfficial there is a small hole on aux box with button in it. Also i haven't connected fiber cable because i can't find it. Difficult to see in video, can you send picture of fiber cable please.

Hi Paul thanks for this.... Any ideas why my same screen is showing a narrow grey bar at the bottom with climate controls which are flickering... I cant press any buttons behind this grey bar and nor can i remove.this grey bar... Is this a settings issue on unit defective?

@@HifimaxOfficial all workingnow .. changed protocol and now all working good... I was using hardrive in armrest with NTG... Can i use hardrive with the 2 x usbs from the android unit? How does one activate/ play from hardrive onto android screen?

@@HifimaxOfficial I checked the settings as in your video, I even tried it with a new Android head unit, the USB ports ( two of them) will play music files from the USB drive but keep saying" the connected device is not supported". Sometimes it shows the Android interface as iPod. It worked once but now it does not work. Any help will be appreciated
