I'd like to share an unfortunate story with you guy. I should state that I am a life long fan of MB. Last week I went to purchase a GLE43 at MB in Burlington, Ontario, Canada. I did some research before hand and found this particular dealership to be excellent, as far as stock and dealer amenities. After negotiating a little with the sales person it was brought to our attention that they cannot sell me a vehicle. The reason they gave me was that I was not from their territory (Burlington) and those are Mercedes Benz Canada rules. I live in Mississauga, which is about a 15 minute drive away. I sales person suggested I call MB Canada and complain about that policy, which I did. MB Canada then told me that is absolutely not their policy that the dealer can sell to anyone. What MB Canada said that they ask dealers not to do is to market in other territories, which makes sense. I then called MB Burlington to convey this contradiction of stories. The general manager of the dealer then said to me in the most arrogant tone possible, that is his rule and he prefers to sell to people that they already have a relationship with and that are in their territory. Well, it's the first time i've ever heard such arrogance and nonsense. This led me to believe that they discriminated against me as a person of colour. . . Even though I did go to a Toronto dealer and bought the car, I am reconsidering future purchases from MB. I thought I should share this just to show an unfortunate side that the general public is not privy too.

This is a car mainly for driving purposes and only having people in the back seats from time to time. However the saloon is more based on backseat comfort and being chauffeured in compared to the coupe which is why the saloon has more available options in the backseats of the car.

It's called S65 except for the 10% length reduction because you can stretch your legs and sleep in the back while your driver brings you to wherever you want to go. The S65 coupe is the car you drive yourself and really, when you see it in the flesh and you test drive it (any S class coupe), it ain't that big. It's slimmer than an Audi S8 or a BMW 760i. Check and you'll see for yourself.

STRANGE kHAN The top speed can be raised to 280 km/h or 300 km/h but then you will be paying more. It is called the AMG drivers package

STRANGE kHAN Do you honestly think that performance = top speed? That it is actually important feature at all? For example Lexus LFA is faster than Bugatti on lp track by one lap @ 10. Yet Bugatti has 100 km/h higher top speed.

+Petar Stankovic thats it ...top speed is actually an expensive thing to ''buy'' it need more engineering work If you give an example with the bugati then their engineer even said that 'the veyron only need about 200 hp to reach 150 mph but to reach 256 mph it need 1000bhp more! the same thing about this merc. The s500 might have the same sort of performance with the s65. But talking about top speed, its on different topic

The AMG Driver's Package is a software update. Mechanically the car is able to go to 330 km/h (speedo) without changing anything but updating the software i.e. raising the speed at which the electronic limiter kicks in or deleting it altogether.

it's overpriced...for the same money you could get a db11, 488 italia, hutrican, mclaren or continental gt...or even any 2 suvs of your choice...if it could hit 310km/h and 0-62 in 3.7 seconds and had a touch screen then i'd buy it. it also has only 5 trim levels while astons and bentles are virtually limitless... it also bares too many similarities to the c class such as the kwy fob and seat adjustment buttons. Status wise nobody would look twice at this piece of junk parked next to an aston or bentley.. when someone asks you what you drive and you say "A bently" or "A Ferrari" or "An Aston" You don't have to explain which one, but when you say "A mercedes" you'd have to explain to them what an s65 is. To most people who don't Know this car they'd estimate the price to be $80k not $230k. Personally i wouldn't pay over 120k for this car..the extra 110k is completely unjustifiable. Don't be duped into thining expensive means quality, that's marketing 101...it's a gimmick

Gitonga Mwaniki the mercedes infotainment system is miles ahead of the bentleys. bentley is still using trashy trash bin parts from vw and 5 trim levels is more than enough. not to mention the benz is better is crash saftey, audio, ride , and overall build quality.(yes ive been in both)ive spoken to too many people with continentals/mulsanes that have had them break on them also who gives a fuck how fast the car is its a luxury coupe not a super car.and what the fuck is "status" mean? its not like anybody gives a fuck.
